I pick wright. The way Sergio keeps his hands low would give him problems with wright who will be countering him and keeps such a tight defense. Wright will be able to land his jab. Sergio is fast but Wright isnt slow, he will be able to win with the jab
Martinez. Winky would hold his guard high and let Martinez unload to often. Martinez would do a better job of what Vargas did.
winky was incredibly gifted defnesively, yet he wasn't a defensive fighter. i have to laugh at this kind of comparison after the martinez fight, people really get things out of context quickly until the euphoria dies down.
Martinez has the speed and angles to exploit that guard. Personally, I don't think Winky really matches up all that well against that style of fighter.
Martinez UD. Winky had troubles with Soliman's angles. Martinez would give Winky a similar fight and he is better balanced and has more power. Winky would spend much of the fight covering up and not enough throwing.
unbelievable how many people pick martinez on the strength of one punch, which is what people are doing. i would love to have seen this poll before the williams rematch.
It doesn't have to do with the punch, nor do I even think Martinez hits very hard. It isn't a good style match-up for Wright and he'd probably end up getting outworked by a few rounds. @sanrafeal: Your reading comprehension skills suck.
This **** really does back up what ive alwaysd said about the GF , that version of Winky is way way underated on here , he was without doubt the fighter to beat at that point , arguably P4P no 1 with a lot of neighboring competition too He was a true beast back then , and would of soundly beaten any version of Martniez , Martinez isnt well rounded enough for Winky !!! Im confident the poll will eventually reflect this
Winky i think took Sam too lightly but yet he still land cleaner shots on Sam then Sam did on Winky. Winky with his hard very good jab would give Martinez big time problems. And Martinez does not fight like Sam at all. Martinez would keep his hands down looking to counter.
