williams walked into trouble and you want to accredit martinez with "one punch power" after that and then try to say tito only had "accumulative power?".... you need to watch more tito fights before you post fairweather posts like this
I'm a Martinez fan but in all honesty a prime Wright that fought Trinidad would have beat Martinez. Prime Wright was a far better fighter then Dzin. And Wright jab is amazing to watch. People talk about Wright had trouble with fighters that moves around with angles? Well i watch his fight vs Sam and like i said a year ago that Wright really took Sam too lightly but Sam didn't hurt Wright at all. Infact Wright landed far better clean punches on Sam then Sam did to Wright. Wright who was way out of shape and was a smaller fighter came very close to beating Hopkins but it was not to be.
Considering how well Martinez slips the jab or beats a jabber at his own game, I see Wright's big weapon being neutralized and that is a problem for him. I imagine this'd be a rather technical fight with low connect %s, but ultimately the elusiveness and Maravilla's own superb jab would win him a close competitive decision. Imagine the Hopkins fight and add Nard a jab. Tito would be a harder fight for Maravilla, styles make fights, and this is not very good for Winky.
Winky was far better at setting up this shots and countering than anyone Ive seen Maravilla in with. He wouldnt just plod around after Serg like Williams and Pavlik did...And he wouldnt crumble after getting hit like Dzin did. Very good fight...it might come down to what you like more. Today I'm picking Winky's more steady and consistent work.
