Do you think there is anyone in this day and age who applies this style effectively like back in the day in terms of headmovement, stamina, and punch output? I've seen the likes of Paquiao use solid these qualities but he's more of a boxer puncher. So who do you feel are the best Swarmers of this day and age and how they compare with the ones of before such as Marciano, Lamotta, Frazier, etc
There are two cracking swarmers out there right now, Rios, who is pretty pure: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcLDP7xMVFY[/ame] He's pretty relentless, but he doesn't have the head movement of a Joe Frazier - not many do though. The other outstanding candidate is Roman Gonzalez. He doesn't always swarm though, he's arguably more a box-punching stalker, but when he does swarm, he's arguably the most correct swarmer boxing today. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vc5x...DvjVQa1PpcFMgCbImxPzPSNLRjOhPRhebWbg979YwS5I=
I wouldn't exactly consider Marciano a swarmer. he hit too hard..sort of a hybrid style between swarmer and slugger.
Well, Chisora really impressed me with his energy and workrate against Helenius and V. Klit. Wolak is another classic swarmer but I believe his days are numbered sadly.
yeah I agree Marciano was two in one the power of a slugger who during later in his career with the help of Charlie Goodman developed into a great swarmer
Now that I think about it, the fighters who match your description the closest would be Katsidis or Wolak as far as current guys go.
In the UK I would say Nathan Cleverly and Rendall Munroe could be classified as swarmers at times. I think you could check Cleverly-McIntosh and Munroe-Terrazas for confirmation. I'd agree on Chisora too, he reminds me a little of Frazier in terms of his bobbing and weaving following up with big hooks over the top. Gennadiy Golovkin can really bang but against Kassim Ouma he looked to me like a classic swarmer. Taking a few punches, throwing in huge volume and eventually breaking down his opponent. I'd say James Kirkland, Marcos Maidana, Brandon Rios, Michael Katsidis, John Murray, Orlando Salido, Giovanni Segura could all fit the description too.

Kompayak Porpramook [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhvYdiGHnw0[/ame] Not sure if you can call him a "swarmer" though.....
