    [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]from fightnews:

    Another highly regarded Russian cruiserweight Vadim Tokarev (26-1-1, 19 KOs) proved once again he is a force to be reckon with in talented 200lb division with a quality win over fading Nigerian Emmanuel Nwodo (22-6, 18 KOs). Both fighters decided to offend rather than to defend and succeeded in their plans. However, Tokarev was constantly better of two due to his punching and overall power. Both boxers had their moments but in round four IBF #7 Tokarev caught his foe with an overhand right to the head and down went Nwodo. The same pattern was repeated in round eight, this time Nwodo taking a huge four-punch combo in return to go down. The Nigerian import beat the count but decided not to go on with a fight."

    Tokarev is a beast. This is a nice win over a solid fringe contender. I'd love to see Tokarev get a shot against say the winner of Fragomeni/Wlodarcyzk or maybe against a guy like Arslan. Tokarev is a very strong fighter with a wicked body attack, entertaining to watch.

    Interesting twist: Nwodo claims he was never in Russia:

    Another highly regarded Russian cruiserweight Vadim Tokarev (26-1-1, 19 KOs) proved once again he is a force to be reckon with in talented 200lb division with a quality eighth round TKO over a fighter who was announced as Nigerian Emmanuel Nwodo (22-6, 18 KOs). The problem was Nwodo didn't fight in Russia. He contacted Fightnews.com to say he didn't know anything about the fight.

    I love the Cruiserweight fighters, men big enough to KO anyone with a proper shot, yet agile and in-shape enough to pull of some slick boxing (unlike the disgraceful members of the modern Heavyweight class).

    It must be said, Tokarev was given a proper beating by Marco Huck.

    A rematch between Tokarev and Arslan would be a diamond I for one would be ready to kill for!

    Their first encounter was pure fun to watch-one of the most entertaining cruiser weight fights I ve ever seen .

    According to the news Tokarev stopped an American based African named Manu Ntoh(17-15) on yesterday's fight card in Russia.

    Nwodo 's scalp hasnt been collected yet by Tokarev.

    Wow, great reporting there. Boxrec and Fightnews both had it for Nwodo last night, now it's Manu Ntoh on boxrec. Way to verify, guys. Sheesh.

    Confusion reigns,emanuel!

    Well,Tokaev won his fight.Thats for sure! As for his opponent he may turned out to be a slimer Sam Peter who gave it a try at cruiser weight.
