Outside Tyson height , would think Dwight Qawi who imop is more effective than Marciano is a better chance bc of speed and better durability defense /cuts .

I'm not saying Qawi was not a great fighter but he was not as effective as Marciano. Not by a long chalk.

Qawi had wars with cruiser Holyfield out of his prime ,cruiser weight Holyfield would defeat Marciano imop and he lasted 7 rnds with enormous Foreman and was tagging him and made him off balance a few times ,size won out. I disagree prime Qawi holds his own against anyone his own size.

Is Marciano the only past champion to get criticized for the matches that he won?

    No, most of them do.
But perhaps some critics go a bit extra hard on Marciano's wins, because they have nothing but wins to look at.

Marciano was a great fighter who achieved wonderful results because he was prepared to put himself through hell in both training and actual fights,he even had a rubber ball on elastic over his bed which he hit when lying down! .He was always in terrific condition , condition which enabled him to maintain steady ,relentless pressure to the very end of a fight and, because of that condition he retained his serious power till the last bell had sounded. The poster boy for over achievement, he triumphed over being given a small physique and a lack of great skills or speed, compensating for that with determination ,courage,a frightening will to win which meant he was prepared to disregard pain and adversity in pursuit of victory,[medication in his eyes against Walcott ,his nostril split in half against Charles,] and an awesome if outwardly modest self belief , he didn't brag, his motto ,which he lived by was "don't talk about it do it ".
From what I have read of him and seen in interviews, I believe he was a fine man ,and of course he was a great fighter, it would have been a privilege to have known him.

Those who morph him into a combination of Odin,Thor,Superman, and Hercules are responsible for him being subject to this acute scrutiny.
They do him no favours imo.
If Rocky were alive today he would have the cleanest p*nis, testicles, and anus on the planet!
