Tokyo Douglas had good movement. If he could box around a rather plodding Lewis and avoid most of Lennox's straight rights, he can win this by decision. He can't stand in front of Lewis too much. Douglas did not have the best chin. I think his relative youth, movement and jab would lead him to a decision victory.
The Tyson that Lewis beat was basically a three round fighter at top level by then. Douglas beat an unbeaten Tyson during his prime years. Even allowing for an off night (which I don't think Tyson had in Tokyo anyway) Douglas beat a better guy. The guy equipped to beat the better fighter wins.
Douglas could fight when he wanted to, but he often didnt want to. He was determined in Tokyo it would be a good fight, in my opinion Douglas was phsyically more talented than Lewis, he had more in his ****nal and could move well, but Lewis was a lot tougher. Douglas could beat Lewis if he was motivated to win. Lewis is way overated especially on this forum.
Douglas. Probably by stoppage. Lewis never fought anybody who fought as well as Douglas did that night. Not even close. If it were a series of three, however, Buster would most likely find a way to blow it.
Lewis would sodomize James, Really Douglas goes out before round 7:dead.. Lewis too strong, too big, and too big a punch..
You to. The Brits are so in love with that Canadian fighter who beat a frozen Golota, barely slipped by Mercer, got a draw against a faded Holyfield and Kod Tysons shadow
That Canadian fighter was born in LONDON:deal, so yea he was British, whose fault was it Golota was scared, and can't handle pressure for ****, guess you forget Ray Mercer was a damn good fighter:huh, and won a easy UD over Holy in the rematch, and win the 1st fight too, except some stupid judge scored the fight for Holy.. Ko'd Tyson's shadow, Tyson wanted the fight, he was also younger than Lewis, and it was an easy payday for Lewis.. Lewis also stopped Klitchko, and avenged his only loses, to Rahman, and Mccall who went home crying..
You also might want to add that he is the ONLY champ in ANY weightclass in the history of the sport to be laid out not once but TWICE by genuine ham and eggers with ONE punch who in the grand scheme of things are not even considered bangers.....those two made their entire "banger" reputation on laying out Lewis one shot style. Memphis Lewis was not prime, he slipped by a fair bit and he simple would be of too slow of foot to keep up, unless Douglas standes in front of him trading this is a difficult match up at that point of his career. The Douglas jab combined with the movement would be a tough nut to crack . Lewis has to jump on him early and try to finish him off, if he lets Douglas into the fight its over.....the pace alone would be way too much for Lewis to overcome, he would gas mid rounds trying and after that his right would be ****ed but never delivered.
You don't say? Funny you learn something on this forum every day. Today I learned if you beat Lewis, you're a ham and egger, which sounds like a breakfast meal.
Douglas had more handspeed and equal power in both hands. Both have bad chins. Douglas has a strong chance here.
