I think Holyfield wins in round 5 after a few of those rights land. Holyfield was a little more technical than Mike. He would not have lost to the caliber of Douglas. Mike was great, but he was worn out and he did not prepare. The Mike who fought in 1987 would have easily beaten Douglas.
Lmao i can die of laugh when the people say "tokio douglas" as if this douglas were great lol, douglas was the same garbage in 90,91,2007 and 3007. The tyson´s fanboys are trying to say this douglas was a super boxer to excuse the tyson´s defeat. Prime frazier would kick the ass of "tokio douglas" prime foreman would **** in the face of "tokio douglas" joe louis would **** "tokio douglas" jack jonhson would humiliate "tokio douglas" larry holmes would kick the ass of "tokio douglas" evander holyfield would absolutely destroy "tokio douglas·
Evander by Ko but only later. Douglas was perfect against Tyson in Tokyo but Holyfield would always beat Douglas whether Douglas was motivated or not. Holyfield fights totally different from Tyson.
previously douglas showed what he had in glimpses. in TOKYO he sustained this. Tyson was in shape, he took a beating beter than any out of shape fighter I ever saw and his weight was good. douglas just had all the answers for one night. it was a freak night. tokyo douglas was superior to riddick bowe in every way. if riddick beats peak evander on his one big night why not buster?
riddick bowe was better than tokio douglas, new york douglas, madrid douglas, moscov douglas and louisville kentucky douglas. Lmao douglas was always the same bum, simply tyson was bad mentally. Please stops to talk nonsense
The Tokyo Douglas vs. the Holyfield who beat Douglas result would be Holyfield KO 3 Douglas. Douglas still almost quit against Tyson in that round 8 knockdown.
Put a gun to my head and I pick Holyfield. Douglas was a magnificent fighter at his best like many of his 80's peers but mentally I don't see him being able to handle Holyfield. The counterpunching would be too much.
tokyo douglas, as i've rambled about before, made a TON of mistakes in the tyson fight that are typically clouded by his brilliant performance and the magic of the evening. as has been said by flea man, douglas did get knocked down. on its own, it isn't that important but the fact is he got knocked down because he was getting sloppy his defense was getting leakier and leakier as the fight went on, he left his left hand hanging after the jab and stopped bringing his hands back to his face. his movement became sporadic as the rounds ticked by and he lost respect for tysons power, became focused on his own power and wanted to slug it out instead now, he was brilliant that night but a truly focused and intelligent technician would have not only seen these flaws but exploited them. holyfield was always such a fighter
lol Douglas tuck aprox 13 seconds to get-up from the Knock-Down in round 8,, But teh ref luckily made a naughty counting mistake cos he Ignored the Time-keeper And started teh count late, But from 1. :rofl :rofl I was so bloody ****ing elated with Xtreme Happiness I was on Cloud 9 when teh bell rang at the end of round 8 cos Buster was still on ***** Street - i knew Douglas was gonna KTFO Tyson before round 12 And when he Did i went And got a few bottles of £50 Bubbly to celebrate with my mates And girlfriend - Tyson was finished. :thumbsup [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KNuAVivQkU[/ame]
Evander was at his best against Bowe in the first and second fight. He actually started using his smarts in the ring in the second fight and beyond, but physically he was at his best in the first fight, he just was outfought by a stronger guy. He would have never been able to outfight a guy like Bowe who was in top shape. That being said, Holyfield would beat him.
no he wasn´t, the best holyfield was against old foreman and buster the bum douglas 90-91. even old foreman was stronger than bowe. and harder puncher so if bowe was big is not matter
In the lead up to the Douglas-Holyfield fight,it was being built up as the best heavyweight bout since Holmes-Norton,twelve years previously. And if Douglas had shown up in his Tokyo mindset and physical condition,as classic is what we'd have got. I still think that Holyfield would have won, albeit by a narrow hard fought decision.
