    :rofl:rofl:rofl

    It was a SLUGFEST. :deal

  2. if you think that foreman 93-94 was as good as foreman 90-91 you are dreaming.
Tommy morrison ran during all fight like a ****ing chicken to survive. Your explample is simply stupid, because every fight is different , old larry holmes fought better against mercer than prime lewis did.a prime george foreman would **** morrison and lewis in the same week

 Have you seen the fight? He never exchanged with him?

You havent answered one of my questions. Was Morrison an intelligent boxer? Why did he school Foreman, certainly had we discussed this as a mythical fight noone would have picked Morrison to win?
Were Axel Shultz, Shannon Briggs, Alex Stewart, Michael Moorer better equipped to beat Foreman than Riddick Bowe at his best?? Cmon I loved Foremans comeback too, but it was what it was, he never beat one world class fighter convincingly besides knocking out Moorer after taking a complete shalacking. He needed an opponent to stand in front of him to make him look good, thats why he looked pretty good against Holyfield, and like **** against Morrison. Bowe would be there, but he would be up in his grill unlike most of the guys who engaged him throwing a ton of leather.

  5. evander did hit george and he was moving, the only time that he exchanged blows with foreman face to face, evander was in troubles seriously. Evander said "nobody did hit me like george did"
not tyson, not bowe ,not tua (his sparring) not cooper and not lewis.

It is very funny because oliver mccall said " bert cooper did hit me harder than tyson(his sparring) or lewis"

He still showed how limited Foreman was, thats the point, and yes there wasnt much difference between Foreman at all during his comeback, in fact one of his most impressive performances was against Savarese.

  7. MAN.. ARE YOU JOKING? SHANNON BRIGGS? SCHULTZ? FOREMAN WAS A ****ING GRANDFATHER WHEN HE FACED BRIGGS AND AXEL AND STILL GEORGE WAS STOLEN AGAINST BRIGGS !!! HE KNOCKED MOORER OUT, THIS MAN DID BEAT HOLYFIELD, ALEX STEWART(GREAT PUNCHER) WAS KNOCKED DOWN TWICE BY GEORGE AND HE RAN DURING ALL FIGHT, MORRISON WAS A PUNCHER!!! AND STILL HE RAN FROM GEORGE LMAO!!!
MAN GET REAL!!! FOREMAN WAS IN HIS 40s and he was competent aganist young boxers of the top 5 in his era. old george90-91 would be competent against prime bowe and prine lewis ,a prime foreman would **** in their faces simply

    and thanks :good

No you wrong - Old George Foreman was only at his BEST/PEAK from 1990 (Cooney) - 1991 (Holyfeild). 1990 Or 1991 Old Foreman would of KTFO Morrison. :deal

You know exactly what I'm saying. A fighter's peak performances may well be against fighters who dont present the toughest fights.

Holmes did **** all against Tyson.
Tyrell Biggs was a sitting duck, a punch bag after 2 minutes, but that was no surprise. Tubbs folded almost as easily as Douglas.

They were in the same ring.

    Yes, I understand that.

And Holyfield didn't make any mistakes against Douglas. I feel he was at his best then.
I actually agree that Tyson never really proved much more than what he proved in the Biggs and Tubbs and Holmes fights. That's as complete as he got.

I guess another analogy would be Muhammad Ali's peak performances were against Cleveland Williams, Ernie Terrell and Zora Folley .... but they were two has-beens and a lumbering moose who he could use for target practice. They didn't push him.
I still have no problem saying "Ali at his best".

The burden of expectation for Tommy Morrison and Evander Holyfield were vastly different.
Holyfield was expected to beat Foreman, and beat him badly.
Morrison was an underdog, expected to get knocked out.

Anyway, Foreman was better in 1991 against Holyfield than he was in 1993 against Morrison. I actually thought Foreman carried Morrison, didn't look like he was trying, but maybe it was just an off-night, or George "wasn't in the arena" :D

    Bonecrusher likes this.
  10. :patsch:patsch:patsch are you serious? when you are in your 40s every aditional year on your ass is very important. 41 years old george foreman was by far stronger and better than he was against morrison, moorer, briggs, axel.. the foreman who faced holyfield would ko or tko briggs and savarsesse for sure.

    110% Agreed m8. :thumbsup

Old Foreman maybe was thinking he was winning teh fight And just WAITING for the right time to KTFO Morrison. BUT - Tommy was running like a frightened girl And Old Foreman couldnt land teh Haymaker he wanted.

Thats fine, but your taking it out of context. I think Holy showed a lot of dimension to his game against Bowe, just as Tyson did againt Tubbs, who Bowe showed **** all against.
I dont agree with any of this. Tubbs prepared with Lou Ferigno for his fight with Tyson, Douglas prepared at Pizza Hutt. Holmes and Biggs both tried harder than Douglas as well. You are just as biased towards Holyfield as you accuse everyone else being with Tyson. ;)

This sounds like a horrible excuse, one you would most certainly jump on a Tyson fan for providing for a bad Tyson performance.:p
Was he really better, or did he have a more willing dance partner in Holyfield. He looked like **** against anyone who gave him movement.

He looked pretty good against Savarese who was better than a lot of the fighters he struggled with when he was supposedly vastly declined. Styles make fights. I saw little difference in Foreman throughout his comeback.
