George ain't beating Douglas on his home turf. A little known fact about Buster. He was actually of Japanese decent and his performance was enhanced by the Asian environment on the night he met Tyson. Every God would be on his side including Godzilla.

It's well documented that he went swimming in a radioactive lagoon at a secret location outside Tokyo, and that was the cause of his enhancement.

Due to the peculiarly fast half-life of that particular form of radiation, he was ordinary Buster Douglas by the time he got back to the states. :-(

If his management knew what they were doing they would have flown Douglas into that lagoon 24 hours from fight time and flown him back in time to school Holyfield. But rumor has it that they didn't want to risk blowing a 25 million dollar payday in the even that the plane went down or Mothra miraculously showed up to devour James, so they just planned on taking the money in a losing effort.

Actually Tokyo Douglas was given a glass of water by Don King in the dressing room before the fight as a gesture of goodwill that Don promised would give him 'THE EYE OF THE TIGER' for the fight. Don then told Tyson's team in his dressing room that extravagances such as enswells were not needed as the fight wouldn't last a round.

the reason why Don got so angry after the fight was a smokescreen for what happened before the fight.

How about Tokyo Rose v Lord Haw Haw ?

Aren't you getting weary of this yet?

As my thread is at 5 pages at the moment , I guess some found it interesting and worth engaging in?

You know what . Four posts with Tokyo's in the title.
You didn't agree with my premise fine, pity you couldn't make a convincing case that I was wrong to differentiate between the Buster that essentially quit against Tucker ,and the one that stepped up to the plate, got up off the floor and stopped the unbeaten Tyson.

OK, you want to talk about another thread.
You created a good thread. I thought I contributed. I had no problem with the premise of your thread. And, apart from a few idiots, I saw good arguments from all sides.

I'm not sure what you're looking for. If I have a different opinion of Buster Douglas I'm probably not going to convince you. I thought we both stated our cases fine.

You didn't invent the moniker "Tokyo Douglas", it's been a running thing on this forum for years.

This thread is asking could a 1973 Foreman beat Tokyo Douglas ?

I never claimed I invented anything, but I know an agenda when I see it.
