Tyson showed more durability and dropped Douglas, I would say him by stoppage in mid-rounds, but not too sure.

Fat Lennox would've stopped Tokyo Tyson. He was handily beating Rahman and was toying with him and simply got caught. Douglas absolutely dominated Tyson from beginning to end, Tyson really was never in that fight. Lennox was still moving and landing and pretty much doing what he wanted....................until he wasn't.

Lennox probably would've stopped Tyson earlier than Douglas would've.

Lewis was never in such terrible shape as Tokyo Tyson, but I think that Memphis Tyson was even worse, and much worse. Of course, I assume that we are talking about their champion versions, because in the professional rings, Tyson debuting with Hector Mercedes was probably worse than any version of Lewis. I would prefer to compare their best versions.

Tokyo Tyson was better than most people give him credit for.
He showed good movement in the first round and staggered Douglas almost every time he landed cleanly. He even dropped him.
The problem was mostly mental, he seemed to lack the fire so his punch output suffered and his timing was worse than usual (due to his lack of preparation).
Bar the 1999-2005 period, his worse fight was Holyfield 1.

Fat Lennox stops under trained Tyson in ten rounds. Maybe not the best fight to watch tho..

    “Simply got caught.”

Well that is my issue with picking Lewis. He was caught by a bog average fighter. Tyson would probably catch him, too.

Tyson "hit" Douglas, and Lewis didn't "hit" Rahman.

Do you think he would've been laughing at Tyson's swings? He was literally chuckling when Rahman caught him

    It doesn't.

Lewis's endurance was terrible. It's clear as day he did zero roadwork. I think Tyson catches him.

I agree he was laughing at an opponent far beneath him, & Tyson wouldn’t be - but now you’re introducing a new variable. I mean, will Tyson really prepare so poorly for Lewis as he did Douglas? I took the fight as meaning both on the literal night of their losses.

If you want to factor in it being a different opponent, that will complicate matters & I’d have to re-assess on more theoretical grounds. Is it really Tokyo Tyson if the enemy is Lewis? Is it Johannesburg Lewis anymore if the opponent is Tyson?
