Pavlik is definitely beatable. And he's not immune getting to getting hurt, as he was seriously out of it in round 2.

Win or lose, though, his fights will always be entertaining.

 

**** off. What exactly have you done in boxing that allows you to call him a fraud, say you never thought anything of him, and say you were "proved correct" when he gets KOed by an undefeated KO artist who Taylor was leading on the cards and who he had dropped hard in the 2nd?

No "fraud" can fake a close fight, let alone a win, over BHop. Same for Winky. I don't care how good an athlete you are.

Taylor took on TOUGH FIGHTS as champ. He beat Hops and then took him on again. He took on Winky, then awkward-assed Spinks and now undefeated, power-punching Pavlik.

I wish more champs were like Taylor, making tough fights. He doesn't score the fights, *******. He just signs the contracts to make them happen, regardless of how many people call him useless, a fraud etc.

JT has his strengths, but when you match him with power then its a toss up...that's y he fought WRIGHT, OUMA, SPINKS...

Taylor was doing well..Pavlik caught him. JT came out like a champ, Pavlik showed heart, respect to both guys.

Jeez, grow up. Shaky chin??? He took flush shots for 6 rounds, and then got caught. That so called "fraud" had Pavlik eating floor in the second round, so what does that say about Pavlik that a fraud could do that to him?

 

I'm completely sick of the "fraud" crap on this board. How does losing one fight in about 30 to another elite athlete make you a fraud? Whoever lost tonight was going to be dubbed "the fraud." The fact that either could have lost it is a testament to both of their skills, not lack thereof. Butterbean was a fraud. Taylor was a solid champion.

 

Oh, I'm sorry, I just realized that Taylor is a black guy while Pavlik is white. Since, as you know, I am a white man, I am duty-bound to not disrespect my race and its proud history of ****ing everyone up.

Taylor was a fraud long before Pavlik beat him - he got the title on a bogus decision, and then kept on two more. Pavlik just proved what many of us knew all along - HBOs poster boy was nowhere near as good as they tried to get people to believe!:-(

 

It was an exciting fight. Taylor gave some punishment and Pavlik proved to be a beast with a massive heart so no one should be saying anyone is a fraud or anything like that. Taylor took on a dangerous opponent and came very close to winning in very convincing fashion. He deserves respect

 

I agree with you. Taylor fought everybody who mattered as champion
and I thought he fought his best fight tonight. He had the faster
combinations, good footwork backing up and fighting off the ropes
and showed a good chin. Pavlik had the more effective aggression
throughout most of the fight and finally landed the big right flush.
Great performance and heart displayed by both fighters. I hope
they do it again.

 

He's definitely not a fraud...bottom line.
