HBO are trying to manipulate fights. I think Angulo made a smart move by not fighting Martinez who is a bad style matchup for him. Now the question is whats next for Angulo? Cotto/Cintron/Chavez Jr?

They were trying to give him a huge boost. Even his promoter said it was a stupid idea to turn down the martinez fight. Angulo was trying to have it both ways, saying he'd fight anyone and then turning down a career high pay day.:patsch

But at least he's trying to clear up his visa issue. The idea of a boxer who's in the build-up phase of his career and getting to be pretty well known all while border hopping seemed a bit...comical to me.

I think he was right to not take the Martinez fight. I'm a big Angulo fan, Martinez too, but that's a horrible fight for him at this stage. He needs more fine tuning yet, so I understand him not accepting. It's a shame are against that because he's a fun fighter.

Fight Cintron and avenge you loss. If he does that, he'd be viewed very highly again. HBO is full of ****.

Bleh. He probably overestimates his value. If he had fought and beaten Martinez, he'd be in the driver's seat. As of now he's not.

Sergei needs a hypejob to get himself exposure but whys El Perro avoiding him??

He really that much of a ***** to take a title shot?????????

Angulo's been milking HBO with some easy fights and is over due for a real test. Cintron was seen as an easy fight going in (devastating loss to Margarito then what should've been a KO by Martinez).

He needs to earn the fame and fortune he's been getting up to this point and stop crying that it's not enough. After he gets his visa sorted out, make him fight Dzinziruk or atleast a Latimore, Martirosyan, Lara, or Konecny. Hell, he refused to fight Ouma over Cosme Rivera on HBO.

For all their hype, Paul Williams and Angulo should've been proposed a long time ago.

Avenge the Cintron loss if HBO will pick it up.

i knew he had a p1 visa as all high profile athletes/celebs do but if it runs out which according to angulo it did then he's in the country ilegally. and it may not be so easy to renew it as he shouldve went back to mexico and renewed it from there.

a p1 visa is a multiple entry visa which allows you to stay in the country for 3 months at a time if angulo's passport shows that he stayed in the us for longer than the 3 months he's allowed at anytime he visited (which im sure it will cause he lives there) then its gonna be a ***** to renew it
