Like I said too much money in it for Floyd and Hatton plus Hattons burning desire to get revenge.

"Ricky Hatton is eyeing a potential rematch with Floyd Mayweather despite suffering a tenth-round knockout to the WBC welterweight champion.

Despite a brave performance from the Hitman, Mayweather was just too classy and floored Hatton twice en route to victory.

Hatton's camp have already made noises about returning to the 10st division, with Junior Witter and Paulie Malignaggi already throwing their hats into the ring.

Oscar De La Hoya has also reaffirmed that he could be tempted by a meeting with the Hitman, however it is a rematch with Pretty Boy Floyd that Ricky really desires.

And despite suffering his first knockout of his career, Hatton insists he has no fear about going toe-to-toe with Mayweather again.

He told Sky Sports News: "It depends what fights are offered to me now.

"There is talk of the de la Hoya fight, which could be at a catchweight of 10st 10lbs, or a rematch could be in the offing, or there are these fights at light-welterweight. I just need to sit down with my team and make up my mind.

    Fearless

"My best attribute is that I am fearless. I think that it was working and up until the sixth-round stage, I think there wasn't a lot in it.

"Then I lost my way, lost my rag on a few occasions, got a point taken off and when I tried to force the issue, I obviously got knocked out.

"I've got positives to take from the fight but ultimately I'm very, very disappointed - however like any good champion I will bounce back."

Although upset at the loss, Hatton paid tribute to the support he received from a vocal British following in Las Vegas.

He added: "It was a bit of a disappointment but I think the way the fans were afterwards cushioned the blow.

"It doesn't matter how many belts you have won, or titles that you win, or fights unbeaten you are, I think that any fighter would give their right arm for support like that."

he'll make a lot of money in a rematch, but from watching 24/7 im sure mayweather is more concerned about legacy these days than money, so i cant see him granting it

it also wasnt competitive enough to warrant one, hatton could have done a lot better sure, but floyd loses no status by not taking it... if he does then he is still all about the cash

You think Floyd will learn to live turning down another possible easy 40-50 million dollar payday?, better yet do you know anyone who would live down turning down 40-50 million?

I don't care what Skybox says , this rematch is not going to happen .

NOWAY in HELL is HBO going to shell out money for this fight , Unless Hatton show overall improvement to justify a rematch ..

If Ricky is the same old Ricky blowing up to 180 between fights , it a sure bet it not going to happen.

Ricky is going to have to do something really special , to make everyone believes he deserves a rematch.

IF hatton get a rematch then why not Zab. :huh

Nah. its being done and dusted. Really does Hatton want a rematch? Could he possibilly get himself in the same shape again and be as motivated? Nah

ODLH v Hatton is a possibility

no way it happens. The fight wasn't even close so why would PBF grant it? Hatton needs to step up and fight Witter who has been calling him out for years. Maybe too much risk for him?

Next opponent, please. Hatton doesn't deserve a rematch, and nobody wants to watch a rematch. Hatton's too small and too limited a fighter to ever compete with Mayweather. PBF should fight Cotto and then retire. There's nothing left for him to prove.

Who would want to see a Mayweather -Hatton rematch? Theres too many really good fighters that deserve the next shot.Cotto, Willaims, Berto in about a year, possibly still even Margarito or Cintron . Enough of retread DeLaHoya please, and a rerun with Hatton would be the ultimate anticlimax.
C'mon Floyd , all we hear is how great you are, so lets see you fight someone who has a ghost of a chance!

hmm.. didnt Floyd say he would love to fight in england? So yes, a Hatton fight is still a possibilty tho I think Hatton should fight Paulie then retire

The way he lost the fight, the rematch wouldnt make sense unless they sold it to the clueless boxing fans in the UK who would fill up an arena if he fought Mia St John. Hatton's style was completely ineffective against Mayweather, and I think it was very obvious Mayweather was too strong for Hatton as well.

PBF should not waste his time on a Hatton rematch. Even if there is money in it, there is money in Cotto or Mosely too.

Mayweather knew Hatton was too small for him, and he probably knows that Mosley has lost a step or two. Watch for a Mayweather-Mosley fight in '08.
