Ricky should go to Light Welter try and beat Malignaggi and Witter with the possibility of retiring as undesputed Light Welterweight champ, no shame in that, then he can say he had a very successful career, but come up just short when he went up against the p4p no1

 

I have no doubt floyd would grant it because it would be easy money .. But who's going to shell the money for this fight , who is going to want to pay floyd 20 to 30 mil when you know the out come will be the same??

Unless the world hate Ricky and you like to seeing ricky getting beat up .

De La Hoya, Hatton: nobody wants to see these rematches. If nobody wants to see them, there's no money in it. Mayweather has two or three options at best: Cotto, Mosley, Williams (and he's probably still too inexperienced, and not a big enough name yet). He's only interested in 'blockbuster' fights at this point.

wtf... how can anyone say that it wasnt close. i had the fight even and maybe an edge for hatton thru 8. Hatton was hitting floyd more than any of you expected. he gave pbf a real fight. They even took a bs point from ricky when floyd was fouling, elbowing, and turning his head. please it was a very good fight. i would love to see it again... maybe at 140

It'd be a very bad fight for Ricky to take on if it's to be his next. I don't see any different outcome - and I'm a Hatton supporter. I don't see how Ricky can catch-up with PBF without some form of major adjustment to his methods, and going into a fight having changed major aspects _without_ applying them in a meaningful fight might result in a bigger loss than the first fight.

I think (hope) Hatton's camp will advise him against, Hatton would fight PBF in a heartbeat and PBF would probably fight Hatton, Low Risk - High Reward.

Hopefully Billy Graham and Ray Hatton will keep him down at light welter, where he can finish off his career with some good wins against the top 5 in the division. Hatton will still make good money in these bouts, especially if he gets a couple in the UK at high capacity stadia.
