"Toledo" Dempsey vs 1994 Foreman

Dempsey by KO, TOO FAST,HIT HARD AND FAST AND HAD A QUICK PACE....BRING A YOUNGER VERSION OF Foreman and we would have some early action...Foreman-Lyle -all over again but I think Dempsey finishes this one standing

 

IM SERIOUS! Prime Dempsey (1920) would've had his hands full and perhaps even stopped by the 1993 Tommy Morrison who was pumped, psyched & motivated to do battle with George Foreman back in June of 1993...... This Morrison fought the fight of his career and looked very focused and determined to win.... His game plan of "In and out and never stand upright and still" worked to perfection in that particular bout.....

Tommy Morrison was way too confident and cocky when he was clobbered and smoked by Michael Bentt later on in October of '93 on HBO....... Morrison showed no respect to Bentt and raced out from the corner looking to smoke Bentt early and left himself open to be countered, clocked & stopped...... IT HAPPENED!!!

On the whole---YES! Dempsey would kill Tommy Morrison...... Morrison was too earratic....... I know that......

But I am talking about Morrison of June 1993............ That Tommy Morrison boxed with skill, speed, power and focus...... Technically speaking, Morrison never looked better at the world class level.....

The June of '93 Morrison was much improved from the October of '91 version of himself that bolted at Ray Mercer and burned himself out after 4 rds of warfare with Mercer..... Mercer KO 5 Morrison....

Morrison had much better combination punching ability than Mercer ever dreamed of in 1991, but Morrison didn't realize how well Ray Mercer could eat leather at that juncture....... BIG MISTAKE!!

Again, back in June of '93, I was sold on Tommy Morrison.... I thought he finally had found himself a groove with focus.... I had no idea it would only last for one fight........ :hi:

George Foreman was age 44 in 1993 and, his ass was in good shape at 256 pounds..... Foreman was looking to fight / brawl and land paydirt in the middle rds against Tommy Morrison........ It didn't go as planned.... Team Foreman never thought that Morrison would stick, move and feint for 12 rds like he managed to do for that particular affair......

Morrison's style on that night spelled "Doom" for Foreman in a 20 X 20 ring in Vegas..... But, all in all, I feel Foreman would KILL Morrison in a phone both........

YES! A peak Tommy Morrison in the summer of 1993 was about 227 ripped pounds and had quick hands with above average power in his mits....... BUT! His chin and skin was weak and tender... It sucked.......

I never saw Wlad's fight with Roscoe Purrity...... I heard Wlad basically gased out......

The fact that prime Jack Dempsey went 15 rds in Montana with Tommy Gibbons who weighed about 182 pounds disturbs me to death...... Sure Gibbons was great, but truly a light-heavy in his heyday.....

But old farts will claim Demps carried Gibbons by way of pleasing the crowd up in Montana........ That's bull****......

Dempsey definitely.

 

Morrison was a big body with a middleweight chin...he defended it well in his fight vs Foreman but tap that chin and Tommy was done....He would would get battered by Dempsey

 

Morrison never really folded by a single blow to the jaw....... "Mercer, Bentt & Lewis" landed some major bombs to close them shows with Morrison....... Still, stopping Morrison was possible........

Holy was so ripped and juiced in the 1990s it was sickening........ Holy owns a great will, etc. but no way in hell was he naturally trained in the 1990s........
