I'd agree with the underlined, the Whyte v Chisora fight was entertaining. I paid for the Wlad vHaye fight, had the son in laws round, thought is was a rubout.

Yeah I remember being really excited about the fight and getting my friends into it. And then feeling like an idiot trying to explain to them why the fight was so slow.

I don't know man. Wlads reign has made me numb. The boxing fan in me hated his boring style. The boxer in me appreciates him more.

Looking back it is kind of funny hearing Manny in his corner repeating the same exact thing every single fight: "Let your hands go!"

I think that the Jack Dempsey of Toledo would have beaten a prime Wladamir Klitschko.

I also think that he might have been the only man of his size in history, who could have done this.

In that sense he is the ultimate primordial monster.

An echo from a dark era where weight classes were much broader and vaguer.

Dempsey was with Maxie Baer after Maxie had been trounced in a fight,[ I cant remember off the top of my head if it was Loughran or Braddock who had jabbed him to defeat,]Dempsey said," the funny thing was you could have put a stop to it".Baer asked how,Jack said ,"lead to me" ,Maxie dutifully did and Jack brought his right fist smashing down on Baer's forearm, Maxie let out a howl of protest saying,"you broke my arm!"
" I don't think that the world will ever see a man who releases such ferociousness, strength and viciousness in the ring"
Mickey Walker talking about Jack Dempsey.
