    Hi,

Some people on here may or may not have known Tom but i thought i would share the sad news of he's passing this month on Friday 8th March 2013 of stomach cancer.

Tom was a former professional boxer and a top amateur trainer from south east london.

He trained at the Thomas A Becket Pub in his professional days, sparring partner to the likes of Alan Minter, also beating Minter as a amateur.

As a amateur coach Tom founded Honor Oak ABC in Catford and was the driving force behind the clubs success from 1983 to the present day, he also spent sometime as a coach at the Lynn AC in the 90's.

He was a very well known character on the london amateur scene and also well respected by a lot of fighters who went on to have professional success.

He will be deeply missed and was a true old school trainer with a wealth of knowledge and a one off.

    R.I.P TOM ARSCOTT
