Why wasn't this fight ever made? The recent Kelley V Hamed thread got me thinking about these two FW's. They only came to my attention when they fought Hamed - I didn't really follow boxing too much in those days. By all accounts they were on the slide by the time Hamed fought them. Who was the better fighter? Why did they never fight each other? In their prime how would they have fared against the crop of FW's that emerged after them? - Barrera, Morales, Marquez etc.
Kevin Kelley is one of my Fav Featherweight's of the last era. I'd defo choose him to prob knockout Johnson. I'll take Kevin Kelley by K.O. 3
despite his long reign, i did not rate johnson that highly. he was an example of the problems caused by having multiple versions of world title
From my limited knowledge of these two I see this as the most likely scenario. Anyone got any views about how these two match up to Barrera, Morales etc?
