Would of made more sense to see tom jones singing the welsh national anthem at a calzaghe fight. Apparently when they met Jones told Calzaghe to try and make it big in America like he had done.
This makes a lot more sense than the Spice Girls doing it, since- (a) Tom Jones is a big boxing fan. (b) Tom Jones was a good friend of Muhammad Ali back in the day. (c) Tom Jones is familiar with the both the LA and Manchester scene, and will thus be very comfortable in Vegas singing in front of a crowd from Manchester. (d) Tom Jones in his 60s can sing better than the Spice Girls ever could.
