Well if he was in the same situation as GGG where the other guys are ducking him I'd honestly not criticize Ward for it at all.

I think it's nonsense to blame GGG for this and allow or outright dismiss this ducking shall we say by the other fighters in his division.

I've been saying for quite some time that GGG isn't interested in fighting Ward and that he'll lose when he does. I can just maintain a sense of humor about it unlike some AND appreciate that the fact there is only one man (who happens to be a top P4P fighter in the division above him) that I would pick to beat him from 154-168 isn't exactly a massive mark against his name :good

 

And the only guy that can possibly "bring him down to earth" is fighting at LHW and was ranked #2 p4p. That says something...

 

I dunno ! I mean, isn't this the most typical thing in boxing ? Fighters leveraging themselves as assets to get the biggest paydays possible... I wouldn't call that ruining the sport but in line with the great boxing tradition of "fighting for the prize !"

 

Not to mention GGG has stated he sought the fight with Ward, had talks with HBO going and Ward baulked.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Ward out pointed GGG in a UD, but I don't really feel this diminishes GGG so much. I'm also pretty sure fellow LHW Kovalev knocks Ward the **** out.
