"His name has come up. I think the challenge with Andre is he has the legal issues with his promoter [Dan Goossen] but, secondly, that's not a pay-per-view fight by any means and I think it would be tough to work out that deal,..It's not a slight against Andre. We have a lot of respect for him. It's just not the most attractive fight when compared to Chavez. There's really no comparison. Same with Kessler or [the Froch-Groves II winner]."

"The hard part is not the fight in the ring. It's getting them into the ring to fight him."

So there you have it. It looks like Golovkin is only looking at PPV level fights, unless the opponent is someone like Gaele.

GGG wants Ward for almost 2 years. He's waiting and waiting while Ward decided to become rather a commentator than a opponent. It's a dirty business, same what happened with the Chavez Jr. fight.

Enough of this ****. Golovkin will concentrate on Geale, Sturm and Martinez.
    Ward's time will come though.

Well Loeffler seems to think that Ward is not a big enough name for Golovkin.

Ward's lost all his momentum/hype. The guy was on the verge of being a star and then he got hurt before his fight with Pavlik and came back and had a boring fight with Rodriguez and now he's been off another 6 months and looks to be off the rest of this year.

You can't fight the way Ward fights and be that inactive, he doesn't generate enough interest. The guy is a legit talent in the sport and he expects to be paid like one, but right now he doesn't fill the seats or generate the views.

Golovkin is not going to move up in weight to fight a bigger/faster guy who's hit & hold style is negative when there's 1) little financial incentive 2) little recognition incentive should he win.

Little recognition incentive? Ward is p4p number 2. Why don't we just call it like it is, Golovkin's people have little confidence that he can beat Ward. That's fine. There's other fights out there. Making the excuse that he's not a big enough name seems a bit hypocritical seeing as how they've been complaining about people pulling the same card on him. I mean how can They seriously say guys like Cotto and Mayweather should fight Golovkin, when they're claiming Ward isn't a big enough name?

Undefeated, American and arguably the best fighter in the business is not big enough name for the Kazakh.

    Ward/Golovkin would get made BIG.
Everyone of us would hype the fck out of it and it would reach MMA community as well.

When is Ward scheduled to be back in the ring? Still haven't got an answer on that.

Most people don't give a f*ck if he ever fights again.

Well if just after a few fights in US Golovkin does better TV numbers and his net worth more than Wards , maybe Ward is not that big of a name indeed.

Right now if Golovkin were to fight Ward, it would not make a successful ppv considering the money both men would expect. Ward doesn't have a draw on mainstream public like Chavez does. Ward doesn't fill arena's like Froch or Kessler do in Euorpe. For as talented as he is, Ward doesn't sell at the high level. Where Golovkin is building momentum, Ward has lost it. You think it's rational for Golovkin to risk his growing status for Ward to salvage his? Ask Ward why he doesn't just fight Kovalev?

Golovkin could fight Ward right now and it would just be a fight for the hardcore fans, where considering the talent and risk involved, deserves to be a blockbuster. If Ward's popularity was back to where it was after the S6, then we'd be having a different discussion.

If Ward's looking for a fight, Kovalev is still waiting, but Ward pulls the same excuse as Golovkin for him. Says he has unfinished business at 168 (who the f*ck he's talking about?), and yet Ward was willing to move up and fight Hopkins for a fight. In fact Ward's history has shown to be more risk adversed than Golovkin's. He turned down a fight with an unbeaten and hot Bute and instead tries to fight a shot Pavlik, calls out a retired Calzaghe struggling with drugs, forced Dawson down to 168, only agreed to fight Bika so that it wouldn't count as part of the S6 in case he lost and pushed to have his S6 fights in Oakland.
