    Here's the excerpt:

"We're in discussions for his next fight, and I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised if we can pull it off about who his next opponent will be. [Interviewer injection: Any Inkling (hint)?] Canada. Can't reveal that (the name), but there's a reason why he's only going to fight one more time this year. . .he's at the point where we need to force some type of a bigger fight."

    On Canelo/Cotto

"He's the mandatory for Cotto, and Cotto again asked for the exception. Well, actually, he has to have our permission to fight Canelo. That fight will definitely happen, and we're just finalizing the ruling from the WBC so that the winner has to face Gennady."

Probably told Oscar that in order to step aside that they want the winner of the fight, plus they want Lemieux NOW.. Since Oscar was trying to avoid that fight right at the moment..

    Canada, ehhh?

Looking like ol' Bute will finally get the chance to avenge his amateur defeat.

basically loeffler said this. they got paid step aside money and assurances that gbp will supply a legit opponent for ggg for ppv.

lemuiex or hopkins. maybe even both.

it works for gbp because if canelo ever faces him, they built up ggg for even more money.

    smart moves all around.

Bute or Lemieux, both good fights.

What a weird coincidence that this comes out ONE DAY after Ward publicly tells GGG to "call HBO and tell them to make it happen"

Lemieux is a good fight... but predictable.

Lemieux is a bigger draw than Ward, holds the IBF title, and is in GGG's weight class. It's much smarter business to fight Lemieux than to fight Ward.

I'd much prefer seeing Golovkin against the Canadian who lost to Froch and Pascal than the Canadian who lost to Rubio.

They will get called bums by the usual suspects regardless.

I doubt it will be Bute. I heard he's fighting on August 15th

Bigger draw? Post numbers up from their last 5 fights, or stop talking out of your ass, i guarantee ward fights have far more viewers than lemieux. GGG wanting to unify completely justifies this fight, but Loeffler is a moron if he thinks we'll be pleasantly surprised. It'll be a fun fight to watch, but a Ward or Degale at 168 would be a pleasant surprise.
