You project that hatred you have for the fans onto the fighters themselves whether you are consciously aware of it or not, this clouds your judgement, you become bias and emotional.

GGG is going to fight Lemieux next (which by itself is more attractive than the Ward fight), then Canelo/Cotto winner is on the horizon after that. Why the hell would he move up now? It's nonsensical mate.

im not emotional cafe...its just message board debate...like my blood pressure doesnt actually rise and i dont get ****ed man...relax its not that serious

again....you ignore my points when mentioning the lemieux fight.....do u think canelo will come right back with ggg right after cotto? what if canelo vacates after cotto and decides he doesnt want that fight?....then ggg is stuck in purgatory yet again(you guys claim everyone is ducking ggg...whats to say canelo wont)....

lemeiux is a good fight....but lets not say its more attractive than a ward fight...it is to the blood thirsty fans who know lemieux is a ko waiting to happen(yes i know he can punch).....ward is a much more attractive fight......for those who love the sport and want to see the best fight the best.....ward/ggg is plausible...its not outrageous.....stop acting like it is......ggg would still have a year or so to come back down if he plans to fight canelo fall/winter of 2016......they just dont want a fight they arent favored in or have the advantage in......

Now you're dealing in some strange hypotheticals to invent a scenario where GGG MUST move up to fight Ward now.

GGG has a guarantee from the WBC for Cotto/Canelo winner, if they decide to vacate he can add a belt to his collection and THEN maybe decide to move up to fight Ward if there's nothing else that's attractive on the table.

But to move up now, that's ridiculous.

Shockmaster be honest, if you were in a situation that Golovkin is in now, you have Lemieux fight probably secured, guarantees for Canelo/Cotto winner which are both far bigger fights than Ward, would you move up to fight Ward and risk sabotaging all of that? Answer this question honestly.

I'm just having a really hard time believing he would drop the WBC Interim. His team has constantly been saying that unification of the 160 division is priority, and that would be a big step backwards in regards to receiving the WBC lineal title... unless GBP is still promising the Canelo/Cotto winner in some other fashion.

But, hey, if I'm wrong then I'm wrong.

    Good post.

People need to realize that Golovkin has full intention to fight Ward. The fight will happen!

He's just going to do the move up when it makes sense, and right now, it doesn't make sense.

I think he'll loose to Ward at 168, he and his team know Ward is very hard challenge (unless he has hard time making 168) so they don't wanna take risk before unifying his own division.

I'm a huge Ward fan. But I'm also a GGG fan. The Lemieux should be his next fight. Then he absolutely should wait for the Cotto/Canelo winner. That'll be his first foray into the PPV status. If he wins that fight he will become a super star. He'll be on everyone's p4p list. Now a fight with another top p4p fighter in Ward would be HUGE!!! Another big PPV payday. It's smart for business to wait for that Ward fight.

Other than the next TOMATO CAN, who is the Triple Duck going to fight?

LOL. You don't realize how stupid you sound. Since when can you trust what a sanctioning body says? The WBC ain't gonna strip the winner of Cotto/Canelo - not as long as the possibility of a Mayweather fight for the MW title exists. If Floyd decides he wants to wear the WBC 160lb title around his waist, the Triple Duck will have to wait.

Sure, if the WBC title is vacated then Bum-love-kin gets to fight the next TOMATO CAN on the WBC's top 10 TOMATO CAN list for their meaningless trinket - and we'll be right back here talking about how the Triple Duck continues to DUCK any real challenge. Congratulations...

@cisco....exactly what ive been saying...these guys act like ggg is automatic next for canelo or cotto....aint exactly automatic.....and if ggg doesnt do something soon hell be 35 with lemieux as the best name on his resume....hope canelo vacates and ggg fights heiland for a vacant title so we can laugh some more at gggs resume

these guys talked on and on about the things ggg would do to ward....then ward says hell do it and theyre like "oh ggg wants to unify.....great fight with lemieux...this fight is ppv worthy"

You're too stupid to argue with. I've explained it all, at the moment it's better for him to try and see what happens with Cotto/Canelo situation than rushing to Ward. Another emotional guy lacking in perspective creating some hypothetical scenarios.

Lemieux fight is a great one in the meantime, both financially and in terms of his career goal of unifying the MW division.

If you're going to reply with some TOMATO KAN ****, don't bother. Those kind of posts won't be replied to.

Golovkin cares more about his career than Ward's.

It's 1,000 times smarter to have Lemieux, then the Canelo fight, and then move up to Ward; however, if Ward decides to move up and away from 168 in 1-2 years... well, that wasn't Golovkin's decision nor his fault.

I'm not trying to sound intelligent, I'm just saying think critically rather than emotionally for a second. You didn't answer my question Shockmaster, what would you do in GGG's situation? You probably realise yourself it makes little sense for him to move up now.
