    Becoming the LINEAL SMW CHAMPION with potential PPV fights vs Zurdo(WBO) and Groves WBC would be just as lucrative, and Canelo will have to fight GGG at 166 if he wants another PPV approval from HBO.

    Beating Ward in November, BHOP in January, then unifying with Zurdo on PPV next summer make GGG a far bigger sell than Canelo who's best win will have been over Cotto, and not even the Mexicans will buy his ppvs after the Cotto fight, cuz according to the response from the casual fan, GGG IS/WAS the only name at MW.
    Mexicans don't buy Lemieux either since Rubio wore him down and out.

    If the fight is Golovkin-Lemieux I will be pumped up. Ever since Lemieux beat N'Dam I thought that was the fight which had to happen.

    it doesnt make little sense for ggg to move up....he can move up and still have a year or so in which to go back down to 160 for a canelo fight.....plenty of time

    this guy has been calling out 168lb fighters....now hes running the other way

    Not only that but why does GGG have to gain a ton of weight? Can't he just weigh in for a Ward fight at a comfortable 165 or something like that? He doesn't have to do a yo-yo of gaining and losing 15+ lbs.

    I certainly put GGG on Hearn's level.

    That chin pretty much assured Ronnie of losing every time he faced great (and not so great) competition.

    If GGG dominates the middleweight division for another 5 years, he can make a run at Hagler's stature. I gues what I mean is it's not out of the question at this point in time.

    Golovkin vs Lemieux will be a very nice middleweight unification fight, add to that it will be bombs away fan pleasing brutal one at that.

    Surprised Golden Boy is making this fight happen (if it goes through) to be honest. Really thought they would try to build Lems brand a bit more. Props to them.

    Golovkin is not on the same ATG level at Tommy Hearns. He'll need to beat or at least compete with a couple future Hall of Famers or three before he can get to that level.
