    **** what the haters say, Lemieux vs Golovkin is a cracking matchup, regardless of the lack of credit G will receive for the W, should he win. Lem is a live dog.

    No way is Lemieux a bigger draw. It is SMARTER yes... but when GGG is being talked about as this unstoppable sledgehammer, taking a huge risk in fighting Ward is daring to be great. Fighting Lemieux is a fairly low risk. Golovkin will back him up as long as this fight lasts. Rubio was NAILING him with right crosses, GGG brings way more pressure. Difference is that Russ Amber won't be able to save Lemieux with a towel. KO3

    It's not a terrible fight, it's a decent fight. Nothing more. But K2 talking about it like he's fighting a HOF or something.

    I dont blame you for buying into the Lemieux hype since you most likely just found about him this year, because this board overrates him extremely. Still a fun fight, and a fight to look forward to though.

    Yeah Saunders I think is just a little too skilled for Andy and even with his right hook equalizer, I'm not sure that'll be enough. Saunders seems to have quite a good chin on him, and even if he goes down I think he'll get back up and finish the match. I wouldn't rule out a KO win for Saunders either. Billy Joe has sneaky power.

    It'll be sooo fun to watch! The Alabama vs Tennessee football game is the weekend of the scheduled fight (Oct 17)... I might skip it and make a trip up to MSG instead to see that as my first in-person boxing fight. :bbb

    If the winner of Cotto vs. Canelo is waiting in the wings (big $$$$) you can bet your ass we are not going to be "pleasantly surprised" with the mug he takes on before that. No way are they screwing that up.

    Sort of like how #49 was never going to be a threat for Mayweather if he's planning on a #50.
