under the scenario i painted....ggg could be 35 and his best wins are geale or lemieux.....and by then lemiuex will prob be ruined and discredited as garbage

if ggg fights ward ...i dont think he can be discredited win or lose......and i dont think any sensible man would discredit ward should ggg beat him.....be nothin but props for ggg...cant say ward is too small...too old...or too overrated

Im a Pacqioua fan. But not the type who watches #48 in slowmo and score it an 8-4 win over Floyd. I saw Floyd win convincingly. And scored it for Floyd.

I dont like Mayweather, but I don't think Madaina beat him. I could see a case for a draw in the first fight, but thats me being subjective. Giving Madaina each close rd, knowing he'd only won 4 clearly.

GGG is the MW Champion of the World.

He has great fighters in and around his division.
Lemiuex, Lee, Quillin, Jacobs, Eubank Jr, Soro, Douglas, Kyrtov, Murata, Cotto, Canelo, Lara, Andrade, Martirosyan, Charlos, NDam, Suleki, Centeno, Mereysev, Chudinov, Mora, Neslon, Clottey, J Williams, Trout, Mundine, Rabchenko, etc etc etc.

I'd like to add that Erickson Lubin and Errol Spence are HUGE WWs. Huge. As is Bradley, as is Thurman, and that KO machine, Sadam Ali.....he's gonna be a MW before it's all said and done.

Ward did a GREAT job handling the smaller SMWs in the S6.

He ducked Lucian Bute, and Ill get over it when Christ returns to take the earth back from the illuminists, but he beat Abraham, Green and Froch and Bika as good as anyone could have.

I am something of a Kessler hater, so I was happy to see him lose that fight, but I'd no idea that the headbutting Ward did intentionally in that fight would have cost Kessler his career.

If GGG and ward gets made, IMO, with the concessions from both guys, it's as close a 50/50 fight as there ever was.

But if GGG stays at 160, and dominates it til he's 40, Ill follow him thru it all, even if he never gets to beat #2, beating #3 over and over and over and over again will finally get him his HOF, ATG credentials whether YOU like the fights or NOT.:nono

 

ggg has no business to finish at mw....you guys keep clinging to it like he does....but reality is he doesnt....nobody cares about that mw strap but him and his fanboys.....if hes able to get it from canelo thats best case scenario.......that belt means nothing but some sentimental garbage.....his resume is swiss cheese...his credibilty against elite p4p competition is nil

 

He'll be discredited no matter what he does, if people discredit him after unifying and dominating a division then those people should be ignored.

GGG wants 8 mil bucks.

Which he'll get 2 mil from HBO for Lemiuex plus 50% of the gate.

But if he doesnt get his 3 mil from GBP/ROC for making that fight, he aint making it, and HE WILL FIGHT WARD NEXT.

People don't question it but until he actually goes and does it, it doesn't count. Historically it matters for him to unify and be the undisputed champion in his division, that's the first and foremost objective that he should have (establish a great MW career), then anything else is extra.

It's a huge step up from Paul Smith.
It's a fight that Ward himself said he wanted.
Bute looked pretty decent against Pascal when he shook off the nerves.

Not saying Bute would beat Ward, particularly slightly drained, but even at 170, it'd still be a step in the right direction for Ward IMO.:think

 

Hell, HBO could put Ward vs Bute on the Lemiuex vs GGG undercard and hype Ward vs GGG into a PPV fight.

That would be colossal.:good:good:good:good

 

Not sure about Ward-Bute but that'd be a pretty good idea.
