odd, i know. for so many reason.

    1) he is german........as in actually german. not some russian who changed his Name. very unusual in german boxing.
2)super Young at 23. actually too Young imo. a heavyweight should stay in the Amateurs to at least 25 so he can get actual experience......something not possible Building fake pro records (but thats another Story).
    3) ranked number 2 by the wbo........errrr yeah....err must have been that win over......wait just a Moment..............(fast Forward to infinity.....and i´m still looking)
4)doesnt fight like a typical german. you know, the typical Amateur style of peekaboo defense, safty first type of fighter (like the guy who just fought beterbiev).
instead, he keeps his left at his waist and Points his left shoulder, hiding his chin behind the shoulder on his left side and the right side of his chin behind his right Hand........you know, more of an old School american style.

all in all, he Looks quite talented for being 6´6 heaweight. good Speed (Hand and feet) and good power.

HOWEVER: he´s only fought at the lower european Level at best. so basically all the Talent i have seen could be utterly worthless if he actually meets someone who really fight !
and thats the issue. does anyone have any Amateur info on him, because i cant find anything.
    thanx in advance.....

Schwarz is alright... a bit of grit to him... decent athlete, but he's a bit basic and robotic. Think his ceiling is probably European level based on what he's shown currently. Regardless someone like Parker has WAY too much for him right now.

May the Schwarz be with you!

So he's basically the second coming of Timo Hoffmann?

Well at least he's young so a loss or two won't be a career ender like somebody who turns pro at 34 years old.

If Grigorian is his trainer he might do okay. Then again, there's so much parity in the heavyweight division he might actually snatch a belt or two.

err have you ever seen hoffman fight?? schwarz is nothing like him. hoffman was Hands up in front of his face all the time.
hoffman was basically big, strong, super durable......but virtually void of any Talent. he was a big punching bag who was dangerous cause he could grind down far more talented fighters.

schwarz is totally different. much more athletic, better Balance, better technique.......etc.

HOWEVER: Hoffmans style worked against world class Opposition. he could give anyone a fight. he´d lose to the better ones.........but he´d be competative.

schwarz has the type of style that has more potential......but also more potential for failure. if the Opponent can put his jab on you (thuss taking away your jab....forcing you to move in instead of Standing back looking to Counter) you are likely to fall apart real quick.

Boxing organizational rankings mean less with each passing month, and that's saying something.

They are essentially worthless. Use Ring Magazine, Box Rec, or while they were around, Fight news. These three are MUCH better than the WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO.

Schwartz management must have PAID some coin to get him ranked #2. I'll be sad if Parker goes into full Wilder mode and picks him for a title defense. Actually Schwartz is too dangerous for Wilder

My attention to modern heavyweight champions is a little less every year.

Fans need to see Wilder, Joshua, Parker, Ortiz and Povetkin fight each other, except we see them fighting these bogus ranked guys, make some fast money with little risk, then ask the fans to pay for it again, and again, and again.

Enough already. 1 easy title fight, ok. But several in a year, no thanks.

Schwartz would be a top 3 opponent win for Parker who's accuracy is below average as I've seen for any HW champion. People also think guys should be fighting top level at these stages when reality is most eras fighters didn't move up fast at all until around 30 fights in.

Were in the era of Ducks according to most and thats BC they have not been watching in other eras. Fighters like Lewis, M.Tyson and specifically Klitchko didn't fight any significant fight until over 30 fights....ppl need to give some realistic thought.

Fighters don't peak in general until about the 30 fight mark its the youngest era in Hw history, only one champion is actually at his peak , Wilder and the top 10 are also not peak except Ortiz.

My belief is get the big money ASAP. You never know when something is going to unexpectedly appear and ruin your career i.e. Orzubek Nazarev etc. Broken hands, failed neurological tests, eye injuries, scar tissue above the eyes.

I´m so with you. they are essentially worthless, just like most pro records. think about it: Joe joyce is 1-0, but you can make a very solid Argument that his win over ian lewiston is better than anything schwarz has done. in fact, if schwarz were to fight joyce, hergovic or yoka right now, he´d be the Underdog with the bookies!!

that is how crazy pro boxing has become. sad.

That's the thing other eras top fighters could lose fights come back and even be in tough fights without being called overrated bums, heavan forbid you have fighters who can win every round and then be called hype jobs...lol

so with you on that!!! look at kovalev. the guy was a Monster, beating several world class fighters in impressive Fashion.
then he loses two Close (and controversial) fights to the great andre ward, a fighter that anyone with only Basic boxing Knowledge will tell you had the perfect style to beat kovalev. and suddenly tons of People come out of the woodwork and say "he´s done". THAT is crazy. and even crazier when they picked shabransky to beat him.

YES, so so much this. I am so sick of boxing being so obsessed with zeros, and so many people not realising that there is always someone better - or at least with a style that suits some opponents better than others. It's one of the reasons I am so cagey about "top 15" type lists, the most accurate possible "top 15" list could conceivably have a guy at #8 who would beat #5 2 out of 3 times but still #5 would be the much easier favourite against a lot of other guys

I wish there were just more top level fights and much less "this guy is a bum" time commentary when someone doesn't walk through an opponent immediately. I actually think Joshua being beaten could be one of the best things for boxing right now, just to break the stigma as if he is beaten then he CLEARLY is not done or exposed - it's just that you win some and lose some. He is not immortal but he is realistically the most well rounded active HW.
