Apollack can PM me whenever he chooses. I hope his book gives some focus to Fitzsimmons unusual speed training methods, him knocking out 7 men in one night, and Fitzsimmons fighting style. Fitzsimmons claimed to have had 300 fights. If Apollack can find some unlisted ones, it will really add to his book.

The respect the other fighters, manager, and ref's had for Fitzsimmons in his era is special. Fitz killed three men in the ring, liked to dish out punishment, and had a snappy way of putting things. IMO too many boxing books simply re-hash the same quotes and results. I perfer books that shed light on the fighters in and out of the ring, and come up with seldom seen or read material.

I have a 27 minute copy of Fitzsimmons vs Corbett, broken down in 10 second segments that best describes the strategy, tactics, and blows landed between the two. I have never seen another report like this, and you won't because there were no freeze frame and replays when the ring side reporters told us about the action.

If Apollack wants it, I can even lend him the copy of the DVD and post my private round by round report for him to read.
