Unless the judges are afflicted with anti-Mijares-itis, which as I've detailed in the other thread, always at least one is, I'd think he'd cruise to a decision against Cazares. Hugo's too one-dimensional really, and he hasn't got the awkwardness Darchinyan had to pose any severe threat to Mijares, who thrives against fighters like Cazares for the most part.
This was an awful post in hindsight, from someone who is now a big fan and believer of 'lil Suriyan. Oh well, at least I redeemed myself........... ..........here! I told you Gregster, Hugo is not that good a fighter, and just because his life and death struggle with Nashiro was exciting doesn't make him any more impressive. Rungvisai'll handle Nashiro better, you can quote me on that, and if he does a better job than Rojas did he'll be sending out a BIG message.
I've never rated Cazares, but you could be forgiven for underestiming SRR. And personally, I still had Wonjongkam edging their fight on second viewing.
If I had scored it the way it was supposed to be scored I'd have Pong winning too. On top of that there are a few rounds that could swing either way anyways. Either man winning by a relatively small margin is both feasible and fair in my opinion. It was the manner of his performance that impressed me more than anything else anyways, not so much how I scored it. Imposed his style well and yada yada I'm wasted.
