I'd say that he's a natural CW. Certainly if you use the 190 limit before it was changed. He's a similir size to Jirov. I agree with the heavyweight punch. Arreola is a good fighter but you're overselling him a little. What you describe is true but not nearly to the extent that you credit him for. Agree, Adamek's footwork is going to be key, especially in a fight vs Arreola. Also the way Arreola has reeeally wide punches should be good for Tomasz being able to come straight down the pipe with his quick combo's. Lots of countering oppertunities and if he does start landing alot of of clean shots in combinations that should help limit Chris's output, thereby reducing Chris's pressure. I don't know if he can KO Arreola, doubtful imo, but i have no doubts that he''ll crack hard enough to get Chris's respect. You're an idiot.
Adamek should ask for a maximum weight because Arreola can come at 265 in the ring...and he's has more skills than Golota.
This fight is very bittersweet for me...i really like both fighters and don't want to see either one of them lose at this level...but, this fight will tell us volumes about both fighters in the heavyweight division. i just hope Adamek doesn't get too brave in the ring that night. Chris Arreola isn't as bad as everyone thinks he is...physical and mental toughness is very hard to measure in sports...either you have it or you don't. Both men have it in this fight...if this fight actually happens, it will easily be a fight of the year candidate...guaranteed!!
And Vitali never took a punch like from Arreola. "Experts" were not liking Adamek's chances against Golota and look what happened. This is a good test to see if Adamek is fit for Klyczko.
Arreola has 2.5 inches in height on Adamek and 2 inches in reach, but came in weighing almost 50lbs more then him in the last fight. He came into his last fight at 263 according to boxrec. I think the heavier and more out of shape Arreola gets, the better for Adamek, since it will be easier for him to use his speed, and movement, and also make those more effective. Adamek has been the smaller guy before, so he should know what to do. Arreola seems to like his chalupas. Pretty big swings in weight at times from fight to fight.
i hope Adamek doesn't underestimate Arreola the way most people on this forum are. his style looks crude at times, but he has a very long amateur pedigree. At the current time, this version of Golota is nowhere near the caliber of fighter chris Arreola is. Agreed that Golota in his prime was a very skilled and tough fighter, but the Golota who faced Adamek this year is a shell of his former self. i just hope that Adamek isn't using that victory as a gauge for his upcoming bouts.
i don't know what experts said that...Golota has been done for years. Adamek is currently in his prime, but i don't know if this is too much, too soon in the heavyweight division. i would hate to see him suffer the same fate as Vassily Jirov. Oh, btw...he should be targeting David Haye before he takes on a Klitschko.
Adamek knows he did not beat a prime Golota, and knowing Adamek I don't think he is looking past Estrada, or Arreola when the time comes. He is a smart disciplined fighter.
Well, this might look like Adamek-U.S.S. without all of the good boxing style. I still think Arreola sucks really bad but he's got a puncher's chance.
