Tomasz Adamek Speaks “It was over in the second round”

It´s really hard not to like Tomasz.

 

True - and this is not over-confidence or nuthuggery. Right now nobody can beat the big K.

 

Now, Nipples would be serious ineffective at CW. Judging from Byrd's attempts at LHW, you could see CA being brutally stopped by even the weaker Allan Green.
But Adamek is a totally different story altogether. He'd only have to drop 10 lbs to be 205, then lose 5 lbs b4 weighin. It's almost nothing compared to Arreola who came down from 260 to 235 and hasn't been able to pass the 230 mark in his best efforts.

Arreola is a natural HW, and while I think Adamek could still beat the Maddalone's and Calloways of the HW scene, I don't think he could take on the Wachs, Dimitrenkos or even the Fury's of the divsion.

 

He says there are a couple of great fights in the near future. I think he plans on fighting more than merely two more fights.

I think Adamek gets beaten by Haye, but Chagaev and Povetkin would be hard to call against Adamek.

What is not to like about Adamek. He is a very respectable and classy fighter. Skilled and very tough guy.

Even wtih the loss, he is still probably top five in the world

 

You don't seem to like boxing that much.

 

Adameck is a proven warrior. I remember watching his wars with Paul Briggs and if someone told me then that he would challenge Vitali for the heavyweight championship the I would have thought it was a crazy idea. Turns out it was, but I give Adameck credit. He probably could have got a shot earlier if he wanted but he made a good little run at heavy before challenging him and prepared to face Vitali as best as he could. Really the bros are just too big for most of the guys they have been facing. Not their fault, but the physical advantages are just too much.

 

If he wants to stay at heavy then fine. I don't agree but w/e.

Just don't fight any more superheavyweights. Fight someone your own size so we can see the aggressive side of Adamek, rather than these boring tactical contests.

Good fights for Adamek include... Mormeck, Povetkin, Haye, Chagaev, Liakovitch, Chambers, Holyfield, Hopkins, Green, Tarver, Cunningham. All good watchable fights.
