Don't change the topic, please. Geez, if you need to talk all the time about Haye, there are plenty of treats here where you can express ur thoughts. I use him only as an ideal exaple to visualise something. Really Hayes fanbase has no limits. Sorry for this digression, but we should keep it clean here. In my previous post what i meant was that getting loads of claps in the face is a pleasure in comparison with one huge punch that i.e. Haye possesses in his repertoire.

since when did adamek become the most avoided man in boxing? trust me, he isnt.

    Out of

    Thompson
Meehan (should meehan lose to chagaev competatively)
Valuev (after valuev loses to solis, plus adamek would be one of valuevs biggest wins, and it would be winnable for him, they would take this fight)

You act like Adamek is some nobody and a destroyer that no fighter will face, thats not the case, adamek is a decent name with a decent fanbase and would be a good win for anybody in he division after his arreola win.

stretching and grasping to somehow validate a grant fight are the things that are hurting boxing today. If he is going to fight grant, fine... but at least call it what it is, a bs fight. Its a soft touch, and adamek might very well deserve it right now, doesnt change what it is though. Im not shitting on adamek for this fight, im simply calling this fight what it is. a waste of time. Its not even a very good stay busy fight since grant probably wont even make adamek sweat (this is the grant who was brutally stopped by GUINN seven years ago!)

If he does make adamek go some rounds and get him working a bit for a good stay busy fight, well then fair play, it was a good choice. but otherwise its just a soft touch that seems a bit pointless to me considering adamek is now becoming a major player within the division.

A fight with thompson would have been the perfect fight to make right now if hes looking to go rounds and get accustomed to fighting taller fighters. And no, thompson would not turn down a fight with adamek.

but like i said, whatever.... it is what it is. People can try defending this fight all they want, but it is what it is. And im not even saying i have a huge problem with it, i dont considering adamek has almost always fought the best available to him, but if this fight cant be called for what it is, then no fight can.

Its a deserved soft fight, but one that ultimately is a waste of everyones time.... I hope adamek is at least able to go 5 rounds or so and have good sparring with tall guys so it sets him up for success against the next tall guy he fights (hopefully thompson if not wlad)

I think its a decent fight. Sure Adamek is the favourite, and you wouldn't think he has any chance of losing. But check out grants record on boxrec.

    http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=005847&cat=boxer

The fact is, Adamek needs more fights before hes ready for a klitcschko and this is perfect for him. The guy is on an 8 fight win streak and has been knocking out some dudes. He's got size.

    [46-3 with 34 KO's]

This looks good on Adameks record in the long run IMO.

Besides, it's not like there is an abundance of contenders to fight in this division. Just a bunch of phonies who don't wanna fight. You know who I'm talking about and who I'm not.

It might also be a fight that pleases the local fans.

As you say - it's a soft fight but he wont cop too much **** for it because he usually takes the tough fights, and he is keeping busy at least.

Sorry, but what the **** has David Haye to do with Adamek vs Grant? I must've missed the memo here.

If it's people just boasting about either Haye or Adamek, please, leave it to the school yard.

It's a fight that is unexpected, but one that does make some kind of sense for Adamek with one eye on big opponents. So if he wants it, do it.

Maybe i was a little harsh on Adamek earlier at least hes keeping busy, unlike many other fighters who just talk or sit around waiting for a big fight.

Even though Grant is shot atleast it will look impresiive on his highight reel beating up a Huge heavy with a name.

A couple people in this thread have mentioned an Adamek v. Peter eliminator in December.

This just a rumor or is there a source?

Adamek mentioned this in a few last interviews. He said that HBO is interested in making it, and in making a rematch with Cris.

A step back from Arreola but good to stay active. And I have also heard some people say that Grant still has something left in the tank.
