it's not a step forward. he can't step forward unless he has an HBO date set, or unless he has a title fight. as such, it's a tune up fight. for him to stay busy and make money from the polish television and the live gate. every fight cannot be a step forward.
Clever choice of opponent by Adamek. Facing Grant prepares him against a possible fight with a Klit at a later stage. Adamek is doing it the right way, getting established in the HW division and then getting a title-shot when he feels ready. Not like Haye, who called out the Klits right after (and even before) moving up and who now looks like an ass because he's not backing it up.
Finally we get to see if Adamek carries some of his power up to HW. He couldn't really show that in his other fights at heavy. He destroyed Golota. And Estrada and Arreola have amazing chins.
It's a stay busy fight. People need to get off Adamek's nuts. Plus Duva said they wanted a tall fighter. Hmmmm I wonder why?
