Maybe Adamek didn't have many known-name options to choose from, and that's why he took this fight.

Are they planning on fighting the corpse of Trevor Berbick after this? This is a colossal step backwards for Adamek, he should be fighting the likes of Haye and the Klitschkos, or at least Potvetkin or Chambers, not an old shot Michael Grant.

Plus, Grant is Klitschko-like in size. Adamek is practicing chopping down big trees...

I think that Adamek will start taking real challenges when Haye retire. It's 1-2 years, so Adamek has a good excuse to fight Grant.

Yea, but the holding and hitting was grounds for a DQ. That was kind of bull****, and I'm not a Grant fan.

Haye should be fighting Adamek since he does not want to fight Klitschko.

Rofl, Get the **** out with ur bull****. :rofl Ill give adamek pass on this if he fights Peter or somebody else from top 5 at the end of the year. Im almost certain thats its going to happen so i dont see a big problem with this fight.

You have to Just look at it in right way, its not a "serious" fight. Its just fight or no fight. And adamek prefers to stay busy.

I agree with Scar's post. I mean, the guy had 4 fights at HW already, hes beaten 2 top contenders in Arreola and Estrada and 1 gatekeeper in Golota and a tun up vs. Gomez.

Adamek was the favorite in all 4 of those fights, cause the bookies know Adamek isn't a skumbag and doesn't disrespect the sport. He comes to fight EVERY TIME. And not only that, he actually looks better within each fight.

As far as YOUR post goes tho, a rematch vs. Arreola is NOT necessary. He beat him once CLEARLY already...no need for a rematcvh. HBO need to get thier heads out of their asses and get a new HW poster boy like Adamek, who actually trains and fights in ass off in EVERY fight that he is in. Im sick of HBO and thier Arreola nuthugging. That one day when he was on the undercard fighting Brian Minto, I mean, these guys would just literally lick Arreolas ASS trying to convince the public.

Why would Dimitrenko take a fight with Adamek, when Dimitrenko has dibs on the EBU title vs. Harrison...?

He can get more recognition 2 way, the hard way is fighting Adamek to put his face in the HW division again. The easy way is to win a semi-prestegious title like the EBU, vs. a very weak opponent in Harrison.

Makes no sense for DImitrenko cause he would get, sadly, the same recognition while fighting and beating Harrison as he would fighting Adamek.

in your psot you also mentioned Meehan.... Why would Meehan accept a fight vs. Adamek when hes in a TITLE ELIMINATOR?

You also mentioned Valuev, why would Valuev take a Adamek fight when he is still a top contender and runner up vs. Solis in a WBC eliminator? Valuev has better/easier options than Adamek.

also your view is to do whatever is the easiest to position yourself for a big fight......thats whats wrong with boxing....the way to do it is like holyfield did back in the day....he was knocking out and fighting everyone in the top 10 so tyson wouldnt have anyone left to fight but him....only difference is dimentrinko sucks balls....so who really cares....but if you cant beat a blown up light heavy, might as well call it a day, because he already got spanked by cruiserweight chambers :rofl

    This.

Given the physcial differences, this is not a gimme fight.

Its a good fight for the division. Adamek should still pull it off, in which case a can say that he beat a big powerpucnher, and if Grant wins, he's back in the mix out of nowhere.

I am really behind Adamek, but have always liked Grant and felt a little sorry that he didn't find a better path, so its a bittersweet fight one way or the other, and let the better man win.

what you need to realize is that boxing is more Business than Sport now. everyone looks at the money value in it, the promoters, fighters, everyone.

thats why Holyfield is a LEGEND. He looked at boxing as a sport and fought everyone there was to fight and prooved himself as a top 10 HW and true warrior in the ring.

What I think you fail to realize( not trying to insult) but a fighter like Holyfield doesn't just "grow on trees"

You think a guy like Dimitrenko is looking to find a way to fight everyone that offers him? LOL.... hes a limited contender that got exposed once he picked the wrong opponent in Chambers. Adamek is the closest thing to Holyfield now, a fast punching small HW with good technique. Im not comparing Admaek to Holyfield tho, but Adamek definatly has the potential to fill in his shoes.....he already has the balls / mentality that Holyfield had.

Blown up light heavy my ass. Care to explain?

    That belt is worthless?
LOL wtf... why do you think Sosnowski got a TITLE SHOT in the first place?

Are you serious or are you just ****ing with me?
