Adamek is whipping in right hands, targeting the cut. Time out. The ref inspects the cut. Time in. Adamek keeps whipping rights at it. Adamek is going to send it to a TD at this rate. Guinn is plowing in with his arms pinned together or slightly crossed, diving through Adamek's jab-straight flurries and wide hooks given extra leverage as he kicks out his rear foot and rotates in with his full mass.

Guinn's right eye is beginning to swell badly, almost getting near Holyfield vs. Rahman or Mosley vs. Vargas territory.

The ringside physician has a long hard look before the bell to start the ninth, but lets Guinn answer it.

 

Round 9

Guinn is lifting his arms straight up to bat Adamek's jabs away like paddles in a pinball machine, not very effective. Adamek is standing in front of him, arms lowered in a shoulder roll stance, flashing jabs into Guinn's face. Adamek begins to triple up on the left hook into Guinn's ear. Right hands and left hooks to body and head, shredding either side of the face and flabby lovehandles of Guinn from short range. Adamek is landing at will and has nothing to worry about coming back. Adamek gets very lazy, standing there with his right fist under his chin and left dangling, swaying in front of Guinn. Double left hook from body to head by Guinn. Adamek backs out and kills some time posing. Jabs by Adamek. Guinn squats and bends in to lean against Adamek, who pulls the stool out and nearly makes Guinn fall. Guinn swats with a weak hook, reduced to listless arm punches.
