Don't forget Banks' slowness, one pace & inexperience.

Adamek said he was glad to be back so soon, as he had to wait 6 months for the Cunningham fight. With that fight being postponed a couple of times.

Are you sure he only had 6 weeks of training? Had he started preparing for BJ Flores, the mandatory that ended up turning the fight down?

he started training in the middle of January, remember there was a Hollidays plus he had some swallings to get rid off...yep 6 weeks of traing it's not a lot after only 4 weeks after very tough fight.

But because of the short duration between fights, he did not get a chance to get out of shape. He said that after the Cunn fight, and the start of training for the Banks fight he gained only a few pounds, and got back into training pretty much where he left off. He says that it doesnt even feel like he took much of a break so all is good.

Aside from that Tomek is used to fighting, and training frequently, so it should not be a big issue hopefully.

I pick Adamek KO/TKO late rounds, but he must be very careful of Banks punch.

I was just thinking the same thing.

Lets hope so. He needs to do something dynamic in there!:happy

Adamek points. That chin of his is pretty unbreakable. Ive gone for points but it could very very easily be a KO.

I just read that after Banks pays his trainers and for the preparation he will only be taking home 10,000$ (should he lose).

Very little for a title fight.

Flores was never a mandatory, despite winning an IBF Eliminator.

Cool, anyway Flores had the shot if he wanted it, then turned down an elim with Big Truck.

I hope Banks is good. I just can't get the Rossito fight out of my head - Jon absolutely fell to pieces in the mid-late rds. I'm not sure getting in shape for one fight is enough. Banks will obviously prepare way better for this one.

I hope we get a classy punishing boxing match. Hopefully it will be as good as Michalczewski v Leeonzer Barber, that excellent matchup between fearsome Pole and Kronk puncher.

Definitely a risky assignment for Adamek, due to the size and power and age of his opponent. I reckon Adamek will fight like he did vs Bell, use his light heavy speed, decent movement, and combos.

Banks a top contender?? Hm! I dont know!

He luckily won his last outing to a ring against Rossitty. He could call himself a lucky dog to be the victor that day!
If that version of Banks turns up against Adamek he will be murdered by the Pole.
Well,I guess I will bet my money on a point victory for the Pole.Banks can take a punch, and he is a big fellow.
Adamek, too, showed a less than stellar performance in one of his last fights against Croatian journeyman Josic.
Anyway! Their fight may actually be true fun to watch.

Would be great if he can repeat that performance instead the wars with P Briggs.

Banks is still undefeated right? With a good trainer and some nice pop ... that's hardly indicate he will be murdered by anyone. Adamek has more in the bag but he definitely need work on proper strategy against Banks no matter which Banks shows up.
