He had to play it safe against Mcbride not to jeopardise his fight for the world title and you could see that he opened up later in the fight but it was too late to knock out Mcbride.

Even if it was a total bum you have to play it safe. its a heavyweight division so there is always more risk involved. What difference does it make if he knocks out Mcbride or goes 12 ? Its irrelevant now. He gets to fight Klitschko for a heavyweight title and thats important.

We dont have to judge Adamek by his showing against Mcbride because he has fought a total of 6 fights at HW agaist some top 20 guys such as Grant, Estrada or Arreola.
