great decision to retire. you gave us years of exciting fights, at three weight classes. won titles in two of them. you have a warriors heart, and handled yourself with class. have a great life, champ!

legend. future hof for sure. title holder at 2 weight classes, long time contender at another. Would have done himself a favor has he stayed at CW, but a great career nonetheless.

Was a big fan just disappointed I lived so close to the venues he frequented and never went to a fight

Who gives a **** about Adamek? Vitali beat him like he was a beta little boy. I feel bad for the guys wife and daughters though.

Really underrated fighter imo. The guy was a light heavy whos cieling was cruiser... yet went on to beat big men and fought vitali klitchko.

    Adameks a badass

Very good fighter and class act. Actually has one of the better resumes at heavy of any fighter in the divsion over last ten years. Sure he has a bunch of shot to sh*t leftovers from the late 90's like Grant, Golota and Mcbride but he also has guys like Cunningham, Banks, Arreola. Was a very busy and well schooled fighter. Hats offs to a true champ.

He was good at LHW IMO. Had devastating punching power at that weight class. He's a good example that power doesn't always travel up with fighters.

He was one of my favourite cruiserweights. He always fought with his heart and his matches were great to watch. His step up to HW never brought him any good, but he got his deserved payday vs Vitali.
I'm glad he is retiring now and does not become a new Sherman Williams/Danny Williams.

He had a good career, better than most. Heavyweight was a step too far, but that's what we want from fighters, to test themselves and push the boundaries. Hope he's made plenty of money and has enough to not have to come back.

The result of Szpilka fight is just the result of his bad physical condition. He could turn it to victory if he still had strength to go lately in the fight. So the retirement is a good idea.
