anton.....you know what the rules are .......... i can only see that you are trying to create contraversy or you are being a ****......
i find it hard to fathom that a mexican fighter knowing he was down on the cards would opt for it to go to the cards when he could have said NO and it would have been ruled a NC. when a riot occurs do they go to the cards or is it called a NC? did the mexican even understand what he was being asked i wonder. I bet the shoe would be on the other foot if Wills was down on the cards, then it would have been ruled a NC because linc would have said no. Funny Guy!
Still waiting for you to tell me the official IBO ruling Einstein. Or is it possible, just maybe, shot in the dark I know, hard to believe, but here's a thought, maybe............ YOU DON'T F****NG KNOW.
here we go///////////// if ty only knew the rule he would not of made this coment i find it hard to fathom that a mexican fighter knowing he was down on the cards would opt for it to go to the cards when he could have said NO and it would have been ruled a NC. when a riot occurs do they go to the cards or is it called a NC? did the mexican even understand what he was being asked i wonder. I bet the shoe would be on the other foot if Wills was down on the cards, then it would have been ruled a NC because linc would have said no. Funny Guy! because if he knew the rules he would know their options and the champians options...... by the way they were fully infoormed by a referee who speaks fluint spanish even tho the trainer spoke english....... so i once again find it hard to fathom why ty would continue to go on with the theary of contraversy...... no more cheers
I'm unaware of any fight that's gone to scorecards due to prolonged power failure. Had a situation years ago @ Newmarket Hotel (Adelaide) where power failure was short lived. We chatted with both boxers & explained our options = No Decision or start the round from scratch. They opted for 2nd option. Had power failure been longer, they wouldn't have been given an option. Our Decision would've been = No Decision bout
If they are the rules (which no one has confirmed yet) then the rules need to be change. Everyone whinges when one of our fighters gets ****ed over when fighing overseas. But we seems to be happy to do the wrong thing by fighters here. What happenned on Friday night offended my sense of fair play and a lot of people watching the fight agreed. I have no agenda here and was at the fight hoping to see Will win. Just not in this way. An ending like this is why boxing is not a major sport anymore. Whoever said the Mexican was happy to let fight go to the cards, I personally find hard to believe. He would have known he was behind, and why would he have ageed to this. Would anyone here in the same circumastances? I think not....... You are all entitled to your own opinion just as I am, but I'm calling as I see it.
I find it a bit silly that the referee is the only person who decides what happens in such circumstances. Apparently ref smoger was asked for his decision and informed officials that it would go to the cards. In this particular instance, it seems fair and reasonable. But the problem is....what if it was another ref??....and that ref said NC?? Surely a hard and fast rule for stuff like this needs to be put in place. Not a refs discretion approach.
perfect example, thanks Anton. Guess its not what u know but who you know when it comes to the sport of boxing in AUS. I dont buy the story about the mexican being ok for it to go to the cards, wouldnt belive that story for one second when he had the right to say no and it be a NC and he then gets another crack and another payday, mexicans arent to smart but they arent that stuupid lol
Linc u think its within the rules to also assist a boxer in beating an 8 count by grabbing his gloves and helping him up (Foley v Burrage) or stoping an 8 count to pick up a mouthguard?(Pitt v Oganov) u make up the rules as you go lol, its a boys club and has been for yrs, its why the sport of boxing is farked in this country, thanks to blokes and officals like you or i guess its just one hell of a coincidence that these bullsht decisions occur when your working a corner hey champ lol
If a referee is useless, how is that Lincolns fault. He can't help incompetence. Also any good trainer should take advantage of a bad refs . As it is the trainers job to get his boy a win.
Just because Austin may have followed the IBO regulations and that the decision go to the cards doesn't make it right. It is also in the IBO's regulations that their champions can get away with defending against journeymen ranked 35 etc etc but that doesn't make that right either.
You lot want to make up the rules as you go along? If there are a set of rules and they were followed then it would make the decision clearly right atsch...how the **** can anyone make a argument against this.....go write a letter to you local member of parliament....actually send it to TCgarbagebag, he apparently is the self appointed spokeswoman for the "majority if not all" on here who believe the Mexican was robbed by conspiring corrupt IBO officials...
So because the result was correct according to the small print in the IBO handbook we as boxing fans should just shut up and say nothing when a fighter has been hard done by ? Should we also say nothing when the IBO has joke fights for vacant belts with undeserving fighters given opportunities when according to their handbook the IBO is following their rules ? Stop defending this ****. It's ruined boxing.
