He was lined up to fight him last fight but it must have fallen through. This from WBC website

Will Tomlinson wants the WBC Silver Belt
Will Tomlinson (19-0) will be fighting on October 26 in Melbourne, Australia against Panamanian Irving Berry (22-3). Not underestimating his opponent, but looking toward the future, he is looking forward to possibly fighting Edgar Puerta for his newly crowned 130lbs WBC Silver title in Australia early next year.
Tomlinson said “Our team watched Edgar Puerta anhialate a great fighter in Carlos Cardenas, we believe he is a legitimate World Champion with that WBC Silver belt around his waist and we would like to take that from him.......

Good to see there is a plan in place and he's not happy sitting on the IBO strap.:good

 have to agree with you there. Silver champ falls below interim champ which most regard as a mandatory challengers trophy.

Still this bloke is a step up in class for will so kudos to him and his team

Sure, poor choice of words but a step in the right direction. I enjoy watching him fight. He has a bit of that Katsidis guts and courage about him in the ring.

Yep, his fight on the green undercard stole the show last year. He reacts well to getting cut much like Kats :good

Wild will is a handy little fight and he keeps improving. Looking forward to this fight to see where his at now

Did anyone else notice when he went back to moving and picking his shots in that fight he was dominate, when he tried to go toe to toe he wasn't looking that great.

Katsidis vs Tomilson? dont think so champ, Kat wont go down to Tomilsons weight and Tomilson wont come up in weight.

Maybe it was all a bit of a stage show then, but Tomlinson seems pretty excited about it.

Only way for Tomilson to get excited is if Katsidis was willing to drop down to super featherweight to fight him. Otherwise at Lightwelter Tomilson gets bashed stupid.

Katsidis vs Tomlinson is not a good idea, Will should stay in his weight limit, no point in getting burt out in a higher division when he has such fantastic future if managed properly.
Hi to those I have not seen for so long here (26/7/2010) keep punching
