Tough one. I'll go for a Burns decision.

I think Groves has some similarities with Burns and some other old school fighters. Burns isn't as rangey, but a much harder man to stop.

This is actually a very interesting match-up!

Normally, in a fantasy fight between a modern boxer, and someone whose prime was in the first decade of the last century, the disparity in ability/skills would be too much for the old-timer to overcome. But this may not be the case here!

Burns is one of the few (and I mean VERY few) pre-WW1 boxers, who looks (somewhat) impressive to me. He seems to know what he's doing, has very good fundamentals… and probably wouldn't be laughed out of the ring, if he boxed today.

Froch was tough as nails - but hardly the most brilliant technician. So skill-wise there probably wouldn't be that big a gap between the two!

It's not a fight, where I can pick a winner with any real confidence… so I think, I'll chicken out and predict a draw!

Have people here seen Froch fight? The man literally moved his head into punches. Burns would kill him
