I rarely post here because most of the fighters I have seen are from 80 on. So what can you tell me about Mr Burns? I know nothing about him honestly....style, strength, and weaknesses.

He's the short fellow in these videos. 5'7", rather stocky, hard puncher, and held the heavyweight championship for a relatively long time in terms of successful defenses. Wrote a book on boxing as well, which is rather interesting.

In the last one he's getting massacred by Johnson.

I think RJJ easily outpoints him until Burns catches him and KO´s him with a big shot, at that weight especially he had crazy power...

IMO Burns is a great p4p- fighter, very underrated!

This may finally be one where you and Clay_II agree.

    A miracle! :D

He thinks highly of him, I believe. He certainly considered him a very good win for Johnson.

Aha, perhaps he makes Burns better than he was, just to hype up Johnson indirectly. Or he makes accidental something right... :D

You two MUST have been fighting too long if you believe any agreement is an accident.

I´m just making fun. We love each other, but here in the forum we´re playing a bit as if we´re big enemies, is it right, Clay? :gayfight

I think that Burns would put some serious hurt on Jones.

Jonses reflexes and speed would guarantee him initial sucess but Burns would keep up the pressure with a sustained body attack and eventualy Jones would crack.

At super middleweight Burns's power would be godlike.

I would also suggest that pound for pound Burns is not far behind Bob Fitzsimmons. He really should have been a two division champion. After he beat O'Brien he was entitled to the LHW title.
