Round 1

Fielding is tapping outward on the guard of Fedotovs with his jab. 1-2-3 by Fielding, a bit loose and telegraphed but still hitting Fedotovs on the armpits and side of the face as Fedotovs backs into the ropes. Fielding is forcing him to cover up with jabs and blasting Fedotovs with whipping rights across the left ear. Just a few counter jabs from the high stock-standard Euro guard by Fedotovs.

I'm reading he knocked the kid down a couple times.

 

I don't want to call him another Frank Buglioni, because he is better than that for certain, but something about Fielding has never convinced me, as far as him having world-level aspirations.

These first several minutes against Fedotovs are just further confirming those doubts. He's wasting lots of energy, dominating but not very efficiently.

 

Round 2

Fielding is jabbing and jumping in, clinching as Fedotovs shrinks into a gargoyle pose, wingtips folded over his grimace. Fielding is swinging his arms by his sides, elbow bent, fist roaming across the underside of his chin like a straight razor. Fielding is dropping light priestly-candle-lighter jabs on the face of Fedotovs and then jumping in to swallow him up when Fedotovs starts to sweep up high counter hooks from the crouching guard.
