The difference is on his best night Manos De Piedra wouls be favored against every Mayweather opponent. On his best night Farr would be an underdog against a dozen or so Ali opponents and even money against another dozen or so. If Duran talks ---- at least it's a legitimate all time great takling ----.

I'm getting around to responding to your other posts. I've had a less then pleasant last few days.

Farr was British and he was fighting in the UK. While he was 0-5 against HW contenders in the US of A he was not KO'd against Louis, Braddock, Max Baer, Nova and Red Burman. He avenged 2 of these 5 losses in the UK. Farrs 1st career ended when he was 25.

Back in the day the world did not revolve around the US. While Britain/Commonwealth was the worst of the big 3 regions, I'd say the Farrian era was the best era of British HW boxing.

I can see the Norton thing and all the guys who gave Ali trouble so Louis can take advantage of this but Ali is arguably a upgrade of Billy Conn on the flipside.

A lot taller and lot heavier and also very fast and can take a better punch. And Conn had Joe Louis in sorts the first fight.
