Farr actually did well vs Louis. He won several rounds. 6 for sure, perhaps 7. The scoring by referee Donovan was terrible. Donovan by the way as a fixture at Joe Louis fights as the 3rd man in the ring and his scorecards reek of bias. He had it 14-1 for Louis! Wow. Farr actually stunned Louis with a straight punch, if memory serves in round nine or eleven. If Farr had better punching power, an upset might have happened. No re-match was given. Many felt Farr was robbed vs. Jimmy Braddock in his next fight. The Welshman never won a fight in the USA.
