Seems like you uploaded Carnera-Uzcudun also, again showing that Carnera wasn't the complete bum that he is sometimes made out to have been:

Uzcudun tested his chin with the same type of punches that knocked over an old Harry Wills. Carnera's jab looked effective.

    Thanks.

Yep. There is a thread earlier where I posted it....there is Carnera vs Campollo there too......nice performance, definitely a guy unfairly treated as a bum for some reason :conf

Vic, thank you for this video of the great Tommy Gibbons who was about 34 years old when he kod Bloomfield in London...About 2 years ago I had seen a film from a different camera than the above film showing more clearly the power of Tommy Gibbons, noted as a great defensive boxer...
Tommy kod almost HALF his opponents and to me he would give any LH in history all they could handle in his best years...So V thanks again...:good

Yeah, he looks really good in this footage, and he was past of his best for sure here.......pretty impressive.

One of the best fighters ever to combine power with defensive skills......I just checked in boxrec, 57 wins and 48 KOs !! That´s a pretty high number !

People don't have an issue with Carnera personaly, they have an issue with the fact that smaller guys beat him, therfore undermining the "bigger is better argument". Therfore he has to be taken down, and is merely a victim of colateral damage.

Jess Willard has the same problem

For a 34 yr old man, Gibbons sure had great stamina and a tireless pair of legs. I love the way he utilizes movement throughout the entire fight as well as great boxing skill. Hey I thought the old timers were supposed to be crude and sloppy , with no "Modern" ability. Cavemen compared to thier latter day pugilists. What gives?
