here's an interview with the two of them. Really interesting stuff even though Tommy's speech is pretty slurred these days. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQPAcETo9vI [YT]WQPAcETo9vI[/YT] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YEdXET5xDM [YT]1YEdXET5xDM[/YT] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIIamTvnZj4 [YT]mIIamTvnZj4[/YT] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95EbcR_Gjhg [YT]95EbcR_Gjhg[/YT] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZSpYm9iMhY [YT]hZSpYm9iMhY[/YT]
is this stewarts pro boxing record? http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=205897&cat=boxer jimmy peters must have has one arm to have lost on points to him
Even though Tommy is slurring, I don't think it's terrible. I can understand what he's saying. He's nowhere near as bad as Meldrick Taylor
I think I read a lot of his voice has to do with his nose being all ****ed up. I could be wrong, though. I swear I remember some university doing tests to see how much brain damage was related to his slurred speech.
Agreed, i thought he was in much worse condition actually. He's had quite some wars and fought on way too long. Another thing is that he doesn't speak too fast, which improves the articulation and makes it easy to hear. Bowe or Toney, for instance, just mumble out sentence after sentence with no pauses and at high speed. Nice interviews, thanks.
Yeah, I heard that his nose was broken in the second fight with Iran Barkley and that he hasn't sounded the same since. But I don't think Tommy has any serious brain damage. At least I hope not, the guy's my favourite boxer and my inspiration
Yeah, same here, man. I'm pretty sure I read that he didn't have any significent brain damage(at least, at the time)
