Tommy Hearns vs Nigel Benn at middleweight

Hearns was awfully chinny. Benn woulda cracked him under 5.

I put Hearns in the poll, but if Benn could survive that beast McClellan, who knows.

I always fantasize about Benn - Hagler. OMG what a fight that would have been.

Good fight. Hearns would outbox him and I could see a potential stoppage. I would have to loved to see it. Ah well.

I voted Benn KO...BUT! Really I could've just easily gone the other way. Quite possibly simply a case of who lands first with a good shot. But when I see what Benn took in the McCellan fight if he turned up..well I'd give he a very good chance of getting the KO over a chinny but great/fast Hearns.

 

Hearns by dec or late KO . . . great fight though. Hearns was leap years of mclellan and hit about as hard

I reckon you are right. Imagine the Hearns that crushed Shuler hitting Benn like that! I give Benn a chance because he had guts and power, but overall I think Hearns would kayo him quite early.

 

I tentatively pick Hearns, but it could be a Barkley 1 type of fight for him. Hell of a matchup though.
