Jacob's had a rough night with Sulucki and lost arguably to Rosado at this point. The Jacob's that fought G slipped from the Jacob's that fought Canelo.
As far as the others. I doubt there even close to being players in Hearns era. Depending on who you ask Canelo lost to Lara and Trout is a very very close call. Neither guy in my book is anything to write home about

 

This is Tommy's fight to lose .. bad style match up for Canelo ... If Hearns is patient, stays outside, and picks his shots , He will out point Canelo, maybe stop him .. I too agree that Tommy is a level above Canelo in ability .. BUT here's the problem. If Hearns ditches the plan and tries to KO Canelo early , Canelo will be too strong for him ..and will stop Tommy late ... I think the Hearns bad chin thing gets overplayed a bit. He was only KOd twice in his career because of it , Hagler, Barkley and no shame it that really , SRL was more a stamina thing and not knowing how to hold, lol ... But lets get real with that ,,, that had everything to do with who he was fighting , the great SRL and his ATG boxing ability ,,, Guys like SRL and Hagler are much better than the Canelos of the world anyway .. Tommy had some flaws, and I would say that stamina and being undisciplined a lot were much more of a problem for him than a suspect chin ... This fight will come down to Hearns' power and discipline vs Canelos strength and chin ..... 60-40 Tommy

 

He was coming off a win over D-Chenko, which was arguably the best win of his career. It's total bull**** to say he was past it for Canelo.

 

I don`t think Hearns gassed v Leonard because there wasn`t much action in that bout until Tommy got caught a couple of times, he didn`t gas v Barkley either bout despite being stopped in their first clash, he didn`t gas v Hagler in one of the greatest wars of all-time, the only fight Hearns gassed in was his bout v Olajide when he hurt Michael and punched himself out trying to finish the fight.

What has Derevyanchenko done to rank so highly as a quality win for Jacobs?

 

I don't think Hearns looked good there. He was supposed to beat Olajide easily, but ended up taking more heat than he should have.

 

For starters, I thought he beat GGG and GGG declined a rematch.

 

So, the answer is: Derevyanchenko has lost (a close contest).

I agree with a lot of what you said here but Ray did it as a welterweight .. I guess to me it is at what weight .. at 154 , Hearns has his best advantage .. the version that fought at 160, 168 and 175 to me was an older and far more vulnerable Hearns .. he not only was KO'ed by Hagler ( and early ) and Barkley ( one shot ) but struggled badly w Roldan, Kitchen and Leonard again as well ... I am no Canelo fan as I feel he deserved to lose both GGG fights but at 160 and up feel he was a more complete fighter , not only having a great chin but an underrated defense and speed ... unless Hearns caught him early I don't see Tommy surviving the distance ...

You're trying to pass off Derevyanchenko as Jacobs' best win, even though Derevyanchenko had only had 12 professional bouts, by then, hadn't beaten a single Ring-Rated opponent and has lost every time he has fought on a World-Level stage.

And, your only answer to why a win over Derevyanchenko should be rated so highly is because he lost to Golovkin (But you think he won so, I guess that's ok then ).
