in light of the recent rediculous comments made by carl froch about competing in the 80s era with guys like hagler, hearns & SRL how do u think a prime tommy hearns would have done in the super 6 contest iv not seen many of hearns fights above 154 i saw his 175 debut against the tough andries where he looked scrappy and i also saw the fight against vargil hill he was clearly not fighting at his best weightclass in either of those fights also his fight at 160 against domingo clearly showed his vulnerabilities and (i think domingo was considered shot at that point please correct me if i'm wrong). he also had a fight at 168 against kinchen which i havent seen how good was kincheh? based on his experiences at 160 and 175 how do u think tommy would have done in the super 6 i personally think he would have beaten everyone however i do give kessler a very good chance
Froch would have been getting owned by Spinks and Qawi in the 80s, if he didnt know Hagler wasn't fighting above 160 for the main part. Hearns didnt fight many fights above 160, which version are we taking, the 1 who beat Andrias (87)? Leonard (89)? the 1 who beat Hill (91)? I think its fair play including his LHW performances given there wasnt a SMW division then
i dont think froch would have even made it to the world scene, they were some tough journeyman back in england that were more then capable of handling him i guess the 85 version of hearns the night hagler beat was better then any of the subsequent versions at any other weight.
I reckon Hearns was a big green and weak as a 160lb+ fighter then, reckon he got stronger and better at the weight after
